About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Play somewhere else
From the horrible fairways to the terrible bunkers to the greens that was so beat up I wouldn’t play there for free. I would love to get my money back because it was a horrible experience. I wouldn’t go back there. And I wouldn’t tell anyone to play there. I actually would love for them to contact me and give me my money back.
Needs some love
If you don't mind putting on greens that have more bare spots than grass this is the course for you.
The tee boxes are awful, cows have been eating most of the grass!!!
As a Delray resident, come on...
As a long time Delray resident, This course could be excellent if they put any money into fixing it up. The greens are terrible and most of the tee boxes and fairways could use some attention as well. 50 bucks is honestly crazy for this track in this condition. It just seems like Boca has a nice new public course, West Palm now has The Park which offers residents discounts. During their May 2, 2023, meeting, the Delray Beach City Commission voted to cancel all solicitations and reject all proposals for the redevelopment of the municipal golf course. You are better off paying 5 bucks for a small bucket of balls, at least the driving range has covered
Greens are in terrible condition. Nice layout and fairways decent condition.
Not in good shape
Basically drive the ball, hit your approach onto the green then pick up your balk and count 2 strokes. Course is that bad.
Run down and poorly maintained
Greens uncut
Weeds everywhere including traps
No rakes in traps
Fairways damaged
Spend a little Xtra and play a well run course
This course could be very nice.
The layout is very nice but the conditions of the greens and most of the fairways are in very poor condition. I played with someone who knew the course 15 years ago and he was very disappointed of the conditions now compared to 15 years ago.
Great for the Price
This course was a blast to play. Conditions were a little bit wet to start, but once it dried out we had a blast. Greens could use some work, and it’s obvious they are working to improve the overall conditions. Definitely going to play again!
Excellent design seen better days
Donald Ross nice layout but needs a more generous Delray Beach City Budget to properly maintain and bring courts back to its original lustre.
