About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Excellent course at this price point (about $50)
Most $50ish rounds in this area are very short in distance. This course has a solid distance and layout. Typically good conditions everywhere. Carts are a bit rough/slow however.

Overall Plain
The value for the cost was ok. It was in equal conditions to more expensive courses but the disappointing thing is neither were in good condition, just this course cost less.
I purchase a logo golf ball for every course I have ever played so I was shocked when this course didn’t even carry any. This was literally the first course that I have ever played that didn’t have a logo ball (in over 35 years of golfing).
Overall, the course is another wide open course. Not any “interesting” holes but still nice.
The value was better than other courses but still not great. I am also still shocked about the logo ball.

Always nice to play
I enjoy the layout of the course although it could use a bit of work. They have a great patio to enjoy a drink after the round.

Donald Ross is very sad
The Golf course has a great layout and the staff is excellent ... but the course needs much care. The fairways have many weeds and the greens have bare spots.
Delray Beach has become a high end vacation destination. Residence pay high taxes, Funds need to be allocated to renovate the course. It is not on parr with the Tennis facility.
These comments have been repeated by many many Delray golfers.

Not enough for the price
Was the only course I could book within a few days. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to what I had hoped for.
I figured for $60 I was getting a decent round but was nothing to write home about. In any case, we got to golf in Florida and that’s always a bonus when you’re on vacation.
I would recommend for beginners but anyone who is half decent at golf should look elsewhere.
