About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Not your best golfing experience
Course needs a lot of attention. Played incredibly slow as well. Constantly backed up.

For the money it’s ok
The course was challenging because of sand around every green, I booked a single tee time and was paired with three great gentlemen. The company was the highlight

A LittlResoect needed
The city of Delray Beach needs to pay homage to Donald Ross and maintain what he designed..The course and facilities need alot of TLC...for the twilight golf now rate ok but for full green fees I would not consider...better alternatives..

Good layout needs some TLC
Not a bad course. The layout is good and the greens were pretty good except for a few that had some rough areas. Fairways were pretty rough and could use some fertilizer. Overall a good layout but rough shape in areas. $57 usd was a little ambitious for green fees. I'd say fees should be more in line with $38-$42.

Not the best choice
It's really a shame. This is a Donald Ross design, 1923, that is seriously neglected. I live within a mile of this course and all my fellow golfers feel the same way. The City of Delray Beach owns the course but seemingly doesn't care about it's condition. Maybe the city should consider having Palm Beach County manage the property. PBC operates several county courses all of which are better managed.

Needs some TLC
This is the first time that I played this course in two years. It has deteriorated somewhat. The course itself was in fair condition. Greens were OK but bumpy in spots. Fairways lacked grass. T boxes were OK in some spots. We had to turn in our carts twice because they would not go. Prices have gone up like all other courses but it seems for the value you get here there are other places that seem in better condition. Staff was friendly but course needs work.
