About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Happy With Golf. Not Happy Sharing a Cart with a Stranger
I'm guessing there are not enough carts for customers concerned about Covid. That's my only knock of the golf day.

Nice course
Nice course needs some fixing and tender loving care, some parts of fairways brown or no grass, carts need some repairs

A shame
With all the great county and other municipal courses in the area Delray is in last place. Covid may have something to do with it, but I doubt it. Tee boxes uncut and beat up. Fairways need much repair. The greens are slow and spotty and need attention. The bunkers are pretty good though. The layout is good. The golf carts are ridiculous. Barely work. A real shame. I play it when nothing else is available. City of Delray is cheating it’s residents and guests.

It was a good time, the course was a bit challengeing which I liked, but the greens could use some help. Now the person at the cart return was a different story, two other groups behind us but he felt it was alright to get nasty with us because we got back a little late. Told us he was getting ready to call police and report a stolen cart.. Not nice!

Nice staff, nice golfers and enjoyable course
We got paired up with another twosome who couldn’t have been nicer. The course was pretty crowded on a Friday but we still finished our round in a bit less than 4 hours. Course conditions were good; staff is treating weeds near greens and in fairways.

Good for the money
Course is decent.
Carts are old and not really good shape.

Great layout and good, small greens
A fabulous Donald Ross design. For sure not in tip top shape but we’ll worth the greens fee. Greens are a tick slow, but are soft enough to give some spin to a well struck approach shot. Played today in 3:35. The staff is super friendly. I’ll be back for sure over the winter.
