About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Everything you need
Truly enjoyed my first time playing golf at Delray Beach Golf Club and experiencing how well planned the entire club is.. Starting with the helpful staff at the bag drop, ample close in parking, and convenient well-stocked pro shop, and attentive starter, I felt comfortable and welcomed before starting.the course. The course itself had just enough challenges (sand traps and water) to get past and with no one in front of our foursome, we played at a good pace.

An OK public course with room for improvement
We enjoyed playing a round there because the course was conveniently located, inexpensive and had a lot of interesting holes. The facility could use some sprucing up: ancient gas powered carts (ours was noisy and underpowered), nearly non-existent cart paths, some sandy areas where there should be grass. The practice range needed to stop letting people on it until the staff could collect some balls - which seemed very odd. So we played with no warm-up more than a few swings on the first tee. The traps were quite playable but the greens were just OK. The course was busy that day and, so, pace of play was slowish for the first nine. Tee times are spaced 7 min apart, which seems pretty standard here in South Florida (but not back home at our club) and that accounts for slow play on busy days. All-in-all it is hard to complain about playing golf on a 75-80 degree day with lots of sun when our friends back home are digging out from two snow storms.

Course is not being maintained, power carts need replacing, and play was slow with no marshall presence.
Definitely not worth $60 per player for 18 holes

Decent course in a pinch
The starter didn’t mention we were starting on the back 9, so we spent a few minutes meandering around after the first hole trying to orient ourselves—not a great start. No concessions to be had, which was pretty rough when lunch time rolled around (lesson learned on our part, we’ll always be checking from now on!)

Good pace of play, okay condition, Covid rules apply & friendly for walkers.
Good course to play and work on skills. Fairways, greens are in okay conditions, not pristine as more pricy course around. I think players that really diss the conditions probably can only play in perfect conditions and are not up to play challenges..a good golfer can play anywhere. Lots of places to get in trouble on this course, plenty of water abound. Pretty flat course with rises near the green, as is a Donald Ross course. Allows single cart for $10 charge extra. because of Covid, and walkers too. Appreciate the mask requirements in the pro shop. Food amenities good, and nice driving range and putting areas. Best feature is closeness to DelRay if you live in town.
