About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Cow Pasture
Should not be open, it's a disgrace to be called a golf course, Weeds and more weeds horrible greens and bunkers, spend a little more and go elsewhere.
Course is deteriorating
I play once or twice on each visit. It's sad to see such an historical golf course falling apart.

Pathetic golf carts
Besides the greens being uneven, and apparently not cared for, the golf carts are old, busted, and in very, very, poor condition. They use rope to hold up the rain canopies.
For a town like Delray, to present its course in such a poor condition is an embarrassment. The city should be ashamed of themselves.

Needs work
The course has an interesting layout, partially designed by Donald Ross, but it's been neglected over the years. Weeds instead of fairway, rough irregular greens and generally in poor condition due to a lack of funding.
The push back from the City of Delray Beach is that it would take around $10 million to renovate and they are over budget already. It appears that it would take a long term commitment that the city is unwilling to make.

Welcome to an an unworthy tee time.
While I like to say you can’t have a bad day golfing; some days are better than others. I had afternoon tee time. The round started out by being pushed to the back 9 for starting which leaves less than to be desired. Tee boxes and greens alike were a mess.
As we moved forward a wedding was going on the 18th near the clubhouse. This timing made it Xi comfortable to play but not terrible .
A group of guys had played in the wrong order and made waiting for reach hole not too enjoyable too.
As we move to the front 9 . I am underwhelmed and brought to a point of being upset. Some holes are being played differently than designed. Rather then using the greens the holes were placed in the fairway with a medium cut. This takes away a large part of the front 9 that should be enjoyed by all.
I was not told of the slowdown by players while on the course or of the moved pins from the green. If I was informed I could have decided to not play.
I would not play this course again.

Course Condition Terrible
The course is in terrible condition. Looks like no one cares about the overall condition.
Had to wait for a golf cart because many are not working.
All tee boxes, greens , fairways are in need of reconditioning. Two holes were moved to the fairway.
Putting surfaces are bumpy with patches of holes filled with sand. Tee boxes & fairways are in similar condition.
Delray should be embarrassed.

Greens are rough
Greens definitely need some attention. All patchy that doesn’t let the ball properly. I will not go back again in this course.
