About
Neshanic Valley Golf Course is a 27-hole layout that was designed by the renowned team of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry. The course is divided into three nines that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The nines -- the Lake, Ridge, and Meadow -- are named after the different features of the varied terrain but each par-36 nine has five different sets of tees, which provides playing options for all skill levels. On the Meadow/Ridge Course you'll find ample fescue along the fairways and greens. The greens are especially tricky since not only are they framed by massive bunkers, the putting surfaces are also contoured. Though the slopes are subtle, they can be very tricky. There is a pond on the front nine and environmentally sensitive wetlands come into play throughout.

Great as always
For December golf in New Jersey, absolutely fantastic. Greens were a little slow, however, despite the fact that it rained the day before, the drainage was incredible, and the course was in fantastic condition. Little slow on the front nine, but nobody ahead of us on the back nine. I always play Neshanic if I have a chance.
Great course
Outstanding facility. Shocked it was a county course. Great layout and in excellent condition.
Hidden costs
Maybe it’s just my bad luck but every time I miss the fairway I end up losing my ball. Very frustrating.

Difficult but fun course in great condition
Neshanic Valley is always fun to play. The course is generally in great shape except that some of the sand traps are a little lacking in sand. Otherwise, the greens, fairways, and tee boxes are all in excellent shape.
The course is pretty difficult - it plays long for the average golfer (10 - 20 handicap). Despite the length, I always enjoy playing the course.

Good but greens need time to heal
Always love playing here but greens not fully recovered from aeration. Bit bumpy.
Beautiful course. Played a little bit slow and no rangers out but sort of expected on a public course on a Saturday. Biggest knock would be I wish they had sand on the carts and sand at the tee boxes. Not good juju walking away from divots on tee boxed and fairways without putting some sand back. But overall course is in great shape. Last note cart girl was only allowed to serve beers.. and only came around once.
