About
Neshanic Valley Golf Course is a 27-hole layout that was designed by the renowned team of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry. The course is divided into three nines that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The nines -- the Lake, Ridge, and Meadow -- are named after the different features of the varied terrain but each par-36 nine has five different sets of tees, which provides playing options for all skill levels. On the Meadow/Ridge Course you'll find ample fescue along the fairways and greens. The greens are especially tricky since not only are they framed by massive bunkers, the putting surfaces are also contoured. Though the slopes are subtle, they can be very tricky. There is a pond on the front nine and environmentally sensitive wetlands come into play throughout.

This course is as pure as it gets, premium conditions.

Best public course in NJ
I’ve been playing here for at least 8 years. I’m my opinion it’s the best value for playing private quality on a public course in New Jersey. Wide open, no backyards or living rooms to worry about if you go OB. 3 nine hole courses with great variety. Only issue is the staff friendliness in the clubhouse is hit or miss and the starters vary too. The pace of play is hit or miss too. Could get stuck behind hackers which will add a good hour or two to your round or you can get lucky and be behind a good group that keeps it moving. I don’t suggest this course for beginners but it’s a gem that I keep coming back to play.
Always in great shape
Played Ridge to Meadow. Of course with the heat everything was dry and fast. Greens weed in nice shape. Staff is not the best there but they have a great course to work with.

Probably the best public course in NJ great layout with 27 holes .
Great day of golf
Fairways great, greens immaculate, layout is challenging, and pace of play 3:45 hrs. Can't beat that.
Well maintained
Everything about this course is thumbs up. The one thing I think they should have are rangers. The pace of play is just a little too slow
