One of my favorites in the area
Great course, in pretty good condition. Tee boxes and sand traps need the most help… greens ran true and were in good shape! Overall one of my favorite courses in the area!
Conditions not worth what they are charging.
Staff was great. Course not so much. Driving range looks pretty ratty. Greens were in good shape but fairways had many bare spots and lots of bare dirt all over the course. Bunkers don't look like they have been touched in over a year. Disappointing knowing what this course used to look like many years ago.
The Greens
Of all the good things about Morgan Creek, the pace of play over-shadowed my golfing experience. Five hours to play a round, midday-midweek is ridiculous. Course is difficult for the less than average golfer, especially from the black or gold tees, which causes several lose balls and backs up play to a crawl. It will be a while before returning to one of my favorite Sacramento area courses. During Covid, it was my favorite course, not any more. Would love to get on with Golfnow as a course review player!!! Last free review.
Morgan creek
Played by my lonesome first “9” holes. Never did find 9th hole. Course is sadly lacking directions and signage for tee boxes. Course in decent shape. Nobody seems to repair ball marks on greens
Enjoable couse never the less
Bad shape
Kind of a bummer. Showed up to tee off and course and GOLFNOW did not sync tee times. Had to wait which wasn’t a big deal. Tee off about an hour late and wait at every tee box for the foursome in front of us. Course was in ROUGH shape. Lots of areas that should have grass but didn’t. Mostly hitting out of crab grass. Overall fun day to be out but not at all impressed with the GATED community course.
Didn’t have time booked
Got to the course. They said that all GolfNow tee times didn’t transfer to their golf tee sheet. So they were double booked on every tee time. Please refund my $5 booking fee.
Course conditions
Course is not in that good of condition. Bunkers are dry and hard.
Pro Shop Guy's a RICHARD.
The last (2) times I've booked Morgan Creek with Golf Now, the same older white guy at the pro shop desk doesn't have my reservation and makes a fuss about getting me onto the course. Then, there's a tournament full of seniors in front of us that either Golf Now didn't broadcast or the course didn't mention. As nice as this course is, so are many in Roseville with polite, friendly, and professional staff, whose equipment works perfectly with Golf Now reservations. This J-A acts like my business is not appreciated. I'm good. I'll spend money elsewhere--never returning.
The layout of the course is excellent, the condition of the course is however anything but excellent. The greens were in fair condition but very slow, the fairways had way to many areas without any grass.
If the course can be put back in good condition, it will be an excellent experience to play it.
Good Greens
Greens are in good shape but are a little slow. # 9 green is inundated with geese and geese poop! And some of the fairways were a little beaten up.
