The grass need to be cut and greens need to be fix
The grass in the rough needs to be cut, it’s too long and thick, very easy to lose balls if shot off fairways. The greens need to be fix, lots of puncture spots, definitely affects putting.
Great course layout, poor fairways
Love this challenging layout, always brings out the challenging shot options on many different holes. I've played this course for a couple decades now and this time around the fairways seemed to be plagued with random spots of no turf, this was disheartening to see & experience. The greens were in decent shape, would have been nice if they were blown off prior to playing.
All in all this is a lovely course that will challenge the most seasoned golfers. The proshop & Legends bar & grill are always magnificent!
Course conditions
The greens were in pretty good shape, especially for winter conditions.
Several of the fairways however were in very dilapidated condition as were the sides of the fairways.
Expect a long day
Booked an 11:30 tee time thinking I’d be able to get through 18 before it got dark but ended up taking 3+ hours to get through 9 holes. No marshals worried about pace of play
What a shame
This course just continues to go downhill all the grass is overgrown , lose at least a ball every other hole even good shots. Even if you're standing right on top of it you can't see anything bunkers are in terrible shape greens are okay most of the course in need of repair come on guys spend some of our money on making it nice again talk to many people that play every week and a lot of them are going to avoid Woodcreek for a while
Too slow and overpriced
Pace of play was extremely slow. Marshal was driving around but ineffective. Bunkers were in bad shape. Better stay out because it’s like hitting off packed dirt/cement. It’s a city course but still….fees aren’t cheap.
Only If You're Desperate
Unfortunately, Woodcreek should only be played if you cannot get a tee time somewhere else. I love golf, but a 5 1/2 round to play a mediocre course is not ideal. If there is one positive, I can honestly say the greens were in good condition.
No Marshall, Driving Range Closed?
Did not see Marshall in the 4 hours and 45 min it took to complete..Waited every hole from 10 - 17, started on 10 finally bypassed group in front of us, 3 holes wide open in front of them.2 hours to play 7 holes. Lastly Thunder and lightning within a couple miles for 2 hours, no instruction on weather we should be out there or not, made for a DANGEROUS situation!
Long . Overgrown vegetation.
The course from 2 to 9 is over vegetated from a few holes . Hard to navigate ( needs arrows signs put up to get to next hole in alot of holes ) . Can not see the flags very well ! Brighten the flags would help .
The greens were excellent!
Food is great at restaurant and workers nice.
Had alot of fun playing with my son ,
