Overall Conditions -- Fairly Dry After the Storms
After the two-weeks of heavy storms and wet weather, the course is very playable. You can drive power carts on almost all fairways. Still a few wet areas on several fairways and holes. Still has accumulated water in some sand traps/bunkers where you can lose your golf ball because you can't see it in the accumulated water. Greens are in excellent condition and very smooth and fast.
Cart path only with soaked muddy course, bunker filled with water. Greens in great condition
Didn’t even finish our round.
Our tee time was 1pm so we were going into it knowing we would be chasing the sunset. Checked in and told they were running 20 minutes behind, and pace of play was SLOW!! People waiting on every hole. Don’t know if they over booked or what but definitely wasn’t a good experience and have played there a few times before and never an issue like that.
Course is undergoing fairway renovations. Lots of bare spots. Rates should be discounted plus there needs to be a Marshall moving people faster. Everyone in golf shop was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Woodcreek getting better
Greens were in really good condition and fast, which I like as they were smooth. However you could be in the fairway and be in dirt as they had patches where there was no grass or patches of grass and dirt. That’s ok in the rough but in the fairway that’s tough.
This wasn’t the first time I played Woodcreek, and it certainly wasn’t my first choice. We decided to play here as it was the only course that had a tee time that worked for us.
I remembered there were a few strange holes, but forgotten just how bad they were - especially the oddly-constructed par 5, 5th. Add to that the course condition with very patchy fairways and poorly maintained bunkers. At least the greens rolled fairly well, given they have been punched a couple of weeks ago.
Unless there are no other alternatives, I doubt I’ll be playing here again.
Price was fantastic! For $34 you received a 20 ball warm up bucket and a $5 food coupon wow!!! Pace of play for my group was 5 hours but considering the value you got well worth it. I’ll be back soon.
Blue tees closed due to aeration. Hole #11 all tees at 210 yds down left, or group had eagle put.
In transition, has gotten worse
The golf course was played after a couple days of rain, so the greens and fairways had not been mowed for several days. The greens were quite slow. The fairways were wet and sloppy. But even if the course is dry, the overall condition of the course is rough. It has seen better days. Lots of patchy areas with either dried hardpan areas, or too much water accumulation and long grass in low areas of the course.
Fairways are open, few fierce carries of tee. Green side bunkers are dirt
