About
Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin sits just half an hour from Sacramento but the stunning landscape blanketed with thousands of live oaks feels much more secluded. In addition to the trees, massive granite outcroppings accent the course. It is both a visually stunning and formidable championship layout. The diverse topography is the focus, providing many challenges with the elevation changes and towering trees that line the narrow fairways. The rolling topography helped to determine the placement of the bunkers. Wetlands come into play throughout the golf course, also serving as home to numerous varieties of indigenous wildlife. The golf course finishes with a tough hole, a long par 5 that is flanked by wetlands on both the left and right. Whitney Oaks G.C. also has a practice facility with a 15-station driving range, a putting green, and pitching area.

Prepare to lose a few balls.
For a golfer who carries more than a 15 handicap this golf course might be too difficult. It's hilly. Lots of dangerous waste areas in forests, swamps, ponds, gullies, ravines, barrancas, etc... I'm a local. Love this course. It's a pretty layout. Sierra foothills terrain.I try to play it at least once per month. I do lose at least 3 balls per game. But while looking for my ball I usually find three more. Good golf course to replenish the stash of Pro v-1's.
Fun and Challenging
First time playing this course and we had a great time. Course was in good condition and staff was friendly.

Played from white tees and found course to be challenging and in great shape. Staff were awesome.
Fun day with friends
Played Whitney Oaks with a friend and got paired up with 2 singles. Really cool guys. Everybody seems so polite. From the players in the parking lot to the starter. Very interesting course and has its challenges. May want to bring some extra balls. Hahaha
Good course. Horrible pace of play
Good course that is challenging and very tight off the tee. Tee off at 11 am and had over 5 hour round, not ideal. Did not see a single Marshall or anyone trying to speed it up. Maybe it was a bad group but not great no one was attempting to fix it
Great conditions for Winter
Cold, wet winter day, but the course was in great shape. Rough was low, but the greens were FAST. I must have 3-Putted at least 4 times. Course plays tough in the winter. Had a sandwich at the grill and it was great. Highly recommend this place, but come with extra balls.

The course was in great shape. The greens with all their slopes and undulations rolled true. Always a challenging course but so much fun when the course is in great shape.
The hardest course I’ve ever played but had a blast playing it. Staff was amazing and conditions were very pure.
