Ruined by Pace of Play
Timber Creek is typically my go-to golf course. It's one of my favorites in Placer County. However, on this day, I was especially disappointed by the pace of play. I can't necessarily blame the course; as always, it's in good condition. However, it would have been nice to see a marshal encouraging the foursome in front to move quicker or let us play through (we were a twosome). The foursome was at least two holes behind the next set of golfers, and yet they refused to let us play through. What's more frustrating (and a sad example of poor golf etiquette), while waiting for the foursome to tee off the 16th hole, I overheard one of the golfers say, "...they can wait." Clearly they knew they were playing slow and still refused to follow proper etiquette. Of course, I will continue to play Timber Creek. It's a wonderful course and the staff are always very nice.
Needs a Little Help
Course is usually in pretty good shape...
Fairways are bald in some areas, and the tee boxes are pretty beat up... Greens are pretty good and smooth.
Nice layout
Nice layout, the course and greens are in great shape.
Single teed off alone and took 4 1/2 hours
Teed off at 8:57am only available tee time online for a single. Arrived at first tee and whoever the other 3 players no one else showed up so I teed off alone sandwiched with 3 groups of 4 somes coming up on me on the next tee and I am waiting for the 4 some in front to get out of my range…I am single digit player and the whole round it was hit the shot and pick up my phone snd scroll…I’ve never done that before on any course.
Do not tee off at this course at mid morning (8am on) it’s 4 1/2 hrs slow slow slow play
No ranger on duty
Always love this golf course.
Go Play it, you won’t regret it.
Nezt to a country club it always well kept and green are rolling nice.
Still good course, was great
I like Timber Creek, it's an interesting track with different 1st and 2nd 's 9's. The 1st 5 holes are very gettable; hole 6 is a feast of famine short island green and holes 7-9 are challenging. 1st 9 is mostly wide open with quite a bit of water. 2nd 9 is a bit more challenging with lots of trees.
Timber Creek has good practice facilities, excellent amenities, and friendly staff. Used to be best maintained course in immediate Sacramento area; however last couple of years this is not the case. Still good course maintenance but used to be great.
Good time with fellow golfers
Had fun with some great guys. We got around in just under four hours. Nice course to play, usually in very good condition with good practice facilities.
