Deltona Club
About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

Not as good as it used to be
They redefined aerification alert. This now means that the front nine will be closed and all of the greens on the back nine are unplayable. Dry conditions for sure added to the dismal conditions but a little water on the greens would have made a huge difference. Quit after playing 6 holes. Not worth your time or money in the current condition. Relied on reviews before I went out, but was really disappointed.
Don’t waste your time and money
New operational definition for arification alert. Front nine is closed and virtually every green on the back nine is unplayable. Course is dry and weeds everywhere including in the fairways. Left after playing 6 holes and got a partial refund from GolfNow.
Disappointed
My friend that played with me had not played in 20 years. He did use a glove and by the end of 9 holes he ha d to quit because of horrible blisters on his hands. I asked the young man behind the counter if I could get a rain check to play the other nine holes at a later time, and he refused,
I joined playing
First time playing there and being the area it’s in, the course layout not bad at all. I love the elevation challenges because you don’t see that in Florida normally. Just wish the maintenance of the course was in better shape but that is a simple fix.
Nice local club
Friendly staff, nice club house with $3 beers on tap.
Very good food.
Fairways are nice , greens are being worked on but playable now..
Grounds crew making a good effort to keep everything nice.
Coarse is beautiful
Long and challenging…if you like using all your clubs…this is the place…
Needs Some Work
Overall wasn't the worst course I've ever played but definitely in between bad and average. The greens were what stood out, in that they were all very dried out, very few still had puttable grass, and most of the time your ball was bouncing around on dirt so you had no idea where it was going. The fairways were in fairly decent shape, bunkers were fine, tee boxes were for the most part in pretty good shape. Really could use some work overall though and not well run. Greens, IMO are where you should invest most of your money in, followed by fairways, bunkers, then tee boxes. Overall price probably should be lower or they should be investing most of their money to repairing the greens. Has potential!
SAD!!
This is the worst condition I’ve ever seen this course. I haven’t played it in a while, between the greens and bunkers, it’s safe to say, I won’t be back any time soon.
Can't putt on any of the 18 greens.
If you pay more than 10 bucks to play here you overpaid. Every green is completely unable to putt due to no grass. Looks like a fungus got them or they didn't pay the water bill or unknowledgeable greens crew. But it's too bad because I always liked playing this course. Now it appears like they are fixing to close down - no rakes out, not much grass on the greens. Not just one or two but all 18 greens are not able to putt. To be ethical they need to announce this up front so golfers don't waste time and money and they should be offering reduced green fees, maybe 20 bucks, until they fix the problem. But it appears they are content charging us full price and big surprise when you get to the first green.
Long
Coarse is long and beautiful….greens are coming in nicely
PUNCHED GREENS
They had punched the front 9 the day before and punching the back the day I played. Was not able to play the back 9 at all! there were no notification's to let me know of the punching of the greens. Had to play front 9, 2 times! But I do do like the layout of the course.
Good for its price
I read many comments complaining about the course, however for the price paid it is quite good, it is a very nice course. If they want green greens like Agusta, they should look for a course where they pay up to five times what this course is worth.
Greens are gone
This is one of the best layouts in central Florida. Unfortunately the greens are gone. Sad.
Poor Conditions
The greens were not greens. They were sand bunkers! Unplayable! Worst I have ever seen or played on. Should have been mentioned when booking and checking in for the round.
Good to practice
The greens are rough but the course is really good !
I did enjoy , and was good !
