Deltona Club
About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

Much improved
The layout has never been an issue, it’s always the condition of the course. The course looks totally different than 3 months ago. There is grass from tee to green. The greens no longer are painted green sand. They are a bit slow but roll true. Most of the bunkers play as waste areas and providing rakes would provide a more consistent lie as footprints are a problem. The rough is thrice and a wayward shot can be difficult to find. I have no issue with the rough, but you really need to focus on where your ball entered or it can make for a frustrating and long search. If you have not played here in a while I would give it another shot. It is priced right, the condition is improving and the staff is friendly.
Great play with rolling hills
Great course, tight lies, rolling hills. Course does need some love, some of the sand traps had a good amount of weeds in them. The rough is rough, she was high and swallows the ball. There ain’t a water hazard to be found but plenty of beach. Pack a rake. Bring your cooler and a party of 4 and play at your speed.
A True Technical Golf Experience
Any “non”rough areas of the course is fantastic. Majority of rough areas are uncut however you’re not supposed to be in the rough anyway. Fairways and greens are in great shape!
Excellent course
From tee box to green is excellent condition, greens do roll somewhat slow. Layout is excellent, but course could use some lawn maintenance through golf course
Much imporved
Nice tees, fairways and greens (although not as fast as they've been in the past). Bunkers and rough need some work. Love the layout and added back into my groups rotation of courses to play.
Improving Nicely!
Our group has played this course for years but because the conditions had gotten so bad we stopped playing it. However, based on feedback of improved course conditions we decided to give it a try. Wow. What a difference the new course superintendent has made. The fairways are much nicer and filled in for the most part. Greens were in much better condition albeit slow rolling. The rough and sand traps still need work but the priority of greens, fairways and tee boxes is very apparent. We will be back!
Almost back
They’re doing a fantastic job getting this course back in shape. I played it today 7/2 The course is looking much better. It’s back on my go to golf course to play.
Great place
I have been saying I need to try this place for quite some time. SO GLAD I DID! It is pretty well taken care of, staff was super friendly!, loved the elevation changes and visual effects the course offers. This is definitely going to be on of my favorite courses to play. Can't wait to get back there.
Much improved
Gone are the sandy greens and there is grass on the greens. Fairways are good, bunker need some work, and there are signs for each hole.
Great work, Deltona team!
Deltona country club
They working on it , specially the greens. Course conditions are better the last summer!
No Rain. Checks
Course is in great shape and we were enjoying the round until we were rained out after 6 holes. Was told in the Pro Shop that the have a “No Rain checks “ policy. Ridiculous! We paid for 18 holes. I asked for a 9 hole rain check and did not receive it. . We won’t be back.
Pretty good value
Greens, tee boxes, and fairways in pretty good shape. Grass is plentiful. Greens are a bit slow and takes a few holes to get the speed. Staff is friendly. Clubhouse AC could be better.
Much improved condition
Definitely improved greens that were sanded for the last few months. More rain will help in getting this course in great shape
Seen it in better condition before
A handful of greens need work. Slow greens. Lots of weeds everywhere. Tee boxes and fairways decent.
