Deltona Club
About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

First time.
Arrived early went to check in to get some range balls.
The guy at the desk said I was to early and couldn’t check in yet. I said fine a will do it later after I hit range balls. He charged me and gave me a token to get the balls.. I asked for a golf cart …. He said again I can’t check you in yet.. I said fine but I am not carrying my clubs and balls over to the driving range nor is my wife.
He then gave me a key so I could use the cart. Just not polite to customer…..
Greens were a little long. Fairways were cut short and dry. No water hazard on course but a few fairway bunkers….
Thought they could of had drinking water on the course.
rough track
tough track, and alot of large bunkers, I would consider playing Zellwood or Victora Hills.
Declining.
I like the layout of the course, but the course conditions are poor. It is evident that there is no pride of ownership. They need to spend some money on maintenance. The guys giving 4 and 5 stars are seriously confused about what a good golf course looks like. Last winter the conditions were good and the course was packed. Now the parking lot is less than half full. When they get the course back in shape, I’ll play here again.
Interesting course
Lots. Of elevation changes with tons of fairway bunkers. Greens had been spread with a green dust that played havoc with putting
Much better options in the area
I’ve grown up playing at this course and have watched it get worse with time. The good reviews on here must have low standards. I’m not a professional but I know for $55 there are much better courses. (Debary, Red Tail, Hidden Lakes). The tee boxes are manageable as you can always play around a poor tee box. The fairways are rather decent for the most part. THE GREENS! The greens are the one reason I will stop playing here. Extremely poor conditions and ungodly slow. Imagine playing on a newly aerified green that never recovered. The chipping green here is one of the best in the area as it gives you a chance to chip from a distance. However, the driving range is in awful shape as well. Overall, pay the extra $10 and play Debary which is in my opinion the nicest course in the area.
Staff is always friendly. Layout is unique to central Florida as there are elevation changes and rolling fairways to navigate. There are massive waste areas with large faces that collect wayward drives. The fairways are a little bare but playable. The greens were very slow but puttable. For the price $50 it is definitely worth playing.
Potential
Nice layout. Tons of sand. No water. Elevation changes and some interesting holes.
Most of the tee boxes were bad to horrible. The greens rolled okay, but didn't look great. Staff was very friendly and food and drink options were fairly priced. I'll play it again.
Very nice layout
I love the layout and elevation changes here. That being said, the condition of the greens is just average at best right now. I would still recommend this course.
Big fan but the conditions are slipping.
I love this course, and will be back. It has been in much better shape in the past, and I hope it can improve. The fairways were patchy and the greens inconsistent. Some were bumpy and most were very slow, while a few were fast in places and slow in others.
The staff here are the greatest, and my group did have a good time.
Consider winter time dormancy all around. Course was in real playable shape
