Deltona Club
About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

Nice course and friendly people
I arrived about an hour early for my teetime and they were eager to let me out right away. I found the course to be in good shape. They had just punched the greens a few days ago and they were exceptionally good. It’s a beautiful layout for a golf course and I enjoyed playing there very much. I want to thank the entire staff for accommodating me and being friendly and professional.
Aeration
We found out that the front nine was closed when we checked in. I had pre-paid on this app 2 days prior & nothing was mentioned at that time. I feel like I got ripped off. I would never had booked this tee time if I had prior information on the course closing the front nine. The pro shop guy told us that it was tee off fault .Either way is tucked & I feel like I should be compensated.
Thank you.
Nice course for the money
Didn’t expect much but it’s a nice little course. It’s a bit informal compared to say a Rio Pinar. Fairways were pretty good, tee boxes were good enough, greens were good enough. I do wish they had more signs to point you where to go. Lots of sand traps. Challenging enough course. Would and will come back.
Don’t bother
Fantastic layout but horrible conditions. Tee to green it’s bad. Range is dirt. No rakes for bunkers. Course doesn’t seem to care. Could be something special but needs help bad.
Not Up to Par
Absolutely the worst course I have ever played. The TeeBox amenities are few and far between. Direction signs between Tee Boxes are almost nonexistent , and there are hardly any cart paths.
The fairways are a mix of old grass, weeds, sand & dirt. Once you get to the greens they are almost as bad as the fairways, old grass with weeds.
The clubhouse, like many community golf courses is old, but this one has not been renovated / updated.
I am trying to make a good comment,,,, Nope, I can’t recall anything to give praise to.
If I were GN I would give this golf course a Rotten Tomatoes score of 1 out of a possible 5.
I came back after two weeks conditions were basically the same. The greens may be a little bit better.
This course is receiving more play, but the conditions are not improving. If golf was not popular like five years ago, I could understand this, but golf is coming back and you’re getting more play , do better
First time
We would have enjoyed it,
But it appeared there is not effort put into the course .
So much sand and crabgrass .
We will not comeback until there is more care in the course!
decent course for the money
Lots of sand but no water. The sand hazards need to be better maintained. Fairways and tees were in good shape. Greens were smooth but slow. 3 uphill par 5s. Stay out of the sand and you can score well here. Staff is excellent. Lost a head cover on first hole. They had it for me the next day. Much appreciated.
Golf on Friday
The course was in good shape. Love the layout and the staff. Maybe a little expensive for a normal course.
Improving.
The Deltona Club continues to improve. This course has a history of improving for a period of time and then regressing which has frustrated many players for the past several years. I have been a regular player here for years and I hope the course continues trending in the right direction and maintains consistent standards.
Going in the right direction
Having read reviews and talked to golfers about dreadful condition last year, i took a chance on Deltona this year, as reviews are getting better. Course is in as good a shape as it was several years ago. Great layout, lots of elevation changes. Well worth playing.
Deltona review
Overall a good experience. Greens were in great shape along with good fairways. Rough was raggedy but understandable because of no rain. Pace of play was great! Would recommend this course to anyone.
