Wrong booking
We booked it online to play and tee off at 12:20 but wasn’t made aware that a comp was on so it got over crowded quickly so we decided to leave after only doing 5 holes
Super hidden gem
Don't be put off by the fact that this is a 10 hole course. By the time you finish the 9th you will be raring to have another chance to take it on again!
The holes are all different and challenging in their own way. There are some narrow fairways and postage stamp greens; some wide open fairways with elevated greens and 4 very difficult par 3's. The 3rd is one of the most challenging par 3s in North Wales.
The course is high on a hill above the vale of Clwyd with superb views and is well draining which makes it playable all year round.
The green keepers do a great job and at at present the course is in very good condition despite all the rain.
The locker rooms are always open and there are decent changing facilities and toilets and shower. The bar is not always open but there is a coffee machine and pleasant seating area with panoramic views of the course.
Highly recommend- give it a try. It is rarely busy.
9 holes with different tee locations
Nice course, a workout. Shame it is not a true 18. Great greens even in winter, north wales is a challenge in the winter. Would have been nice to have somewhere to get a hot drink or a shop. Overall good place to play 9 holes.

Challenging holes especially the par 3 third hole.
Ruthin Pwllglas
Most enjoyable round of golf at Ruthin. Only 9 holes but a good tough test. Got to keep your tee shot in the fairway as a lot of trees. Staff friendly and have access to a trolley if you need one which is great for holiday maker golfers.
Course Review
Excellent little course tucked away on a beautiful piece of land. Very friendly and helpful members who were running a junior clinic when we arrived. Kym in particular was an awesome bloke who took the time to explain the course to us and even checked in with us on the way around. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are passing through 🏌️♂️👌
