Delta Hotels by Marriott St Pierre Country Club - Mathern Course

Long par 3s, short par 4s but twisty and doglegs on lots of them, small greensIn general. C

Cever use of rivers and streams, especially on the 14th signature hole -this hole was hard to navigate as I'd not played there before, not didn't spoil it. Well signposted around the course so you don't get too lost. Make sure you have a GPS though.

Grass on greens was very long, but I didn't mind that, it would've been nice to have truer putts.

Some nice reachable par 4s and a lovely par 5.

Really liked it, nice tree-lined holes and some water for a challenge. Certainly not easy, or forgiving, but definitely fair and rewarding. Only 1 par 5, but not short by any stretch and the par 3s tend to be quite long. Greens very good.

a tight golf course but once you settle in after the first few holes it provides plenty of par opportunities, greens were a little slow but f'ways and tees excellent

Course was waterlogged, so not good to play after rain, although nothing the could do about it. Lots of rubbish around, hanging out of the bins. Beer bottles, so assumed from the day before (as we started at 9am). Average course considering there are so many nice ones in the area. Staff friendly, so nice place to be.

Staff exceptionally friendly. Both in clubhouse and course Marshall. Course conditions very good and good pace of play. No holdups

Nice course not very long but course management is needed as it's easy to get out of position. Worth playing at the right price. the greens are in good condition but the rest could do with a bit more looking after. Also a bit of a struggle to find your way round as there aren't many signs from green to next tee. Like I said worth a round but don't think I'd play it again as it was a bit of a drive to get there.

On arrival the staff were very courteous.

The course layout was explained on the first Tee.

The course is not very long but the holes were very challenging. Instead of using the driver you had to select the right club to negotiate the intricacies of the course. Most enjoyable.

Booked the Mathern course but on arrival discovered it was waterlogged & therefore closed. Club shop quickly put me on the Championship course at no extra course & I was highly impressed.

Course is very open but fairways are narrow in places so it's more challenging than it first appears.

15th & 18th bring lots of water into play & make it very picturesque.

Overall, a fab experience, great customer service & I'll look forward to trying the Mathern course once the water levels return to normal!

seriously awkward course..rarely offers you a shot you want to play

Myself and my son played both courses on the Same day and had lunch in between rounds, we were treated to a great day and staff were very helpful and friendly. Foid was first class and not expensive. I have recommended this to several friends who have booked to play next month (May 2017).
