Good value course

Very good value, course was overbooked with a string of 4-balls holding up play which got particularly bad between 17 and 18 as the fairways overlap.

Some nice holes, and an interesting selection to challenge you fully

Worth a look

Tough conditions on a couple of holes given the tree-lined fairways and baked surface, but a good, challenging course with some interesting holes. Llanwern is a very decent parkland option on any trip into South Wales...

Worth a try

This course has some nice long holes to get the driver out for a punt and some shorter holes to have tee off with the irons .tee boxes on some holes were a bit sandy but nothing to hinder play . fairways were sleek and well cut onto some lovely green greens which seamed to be well maintained and running fast .. when you get to 16 & 17 holes bit of crossover fairways but other than that great course in my opinion for the price.. will play there again

One small downside was lack of bins by the tee off areas

Llanwern Golf Course

A good course for all abilities. Some long straight holes but with some challenging holes that slope away from the direction of play. Blustery conditions last night but shot my best round ever. A great price at £18 for a full round. Greens in great conditiin. Some of the Tee boxes less so though, but not enough to detract from it.

Llanwern long and generally easy going not too many hills

2nd time of playing 5 June much work had been done since 12 March foot paths re gravel after winter. A lot of work to Greens have brought them to an Excellent condition, large and inviting.

Course generally quite wide and forgiving.

Fairways lush and not over used.

The Pro Scott told me they had recently had a couple of open competitions ladies and men so was at its best.

Llanwwrn Golf Course

1st time playing this course. Real good condition. Some challenging holes where the fairway slopes away downhil from where you ball lands to where it ends up which can be frustrating. £18 for 18 holes in an evening was the best price around. Tee'd off at 6PM. A few pairs in front of us but by the time we finished we were literally the only ones left just after 9.

Great all rounder

The course was in great condition after weeks of sun followed by a few downpours (28th may 2025)

The greens were a little inconsistent but hard and mostly fast. All fairways and levels of rough were well cut.

There are 3 challenging par 5's including the 530y 6th. Also some fairly long par 4's. The course opens up with a nice 240 yard straight away par 4 with a nice up slope bottle neck Green.

It's easily walkable and apart from one or two hills is fairly flat. Some of the fairways are pretty narrow which is a good test for driving accuracy.

Overall a lovely round in great condition and teeing off at 12.30 it was fairly quiet. Very nice experience all around.

Great Value for money

Great value for money, course is in great condition and has varied holes, for £30 it’s better than a lot of courses where you pay double that in Bristol.
