Llanwern Golf Club

Was very disappointed that I wasn’t informed holes 4 and 5 was not playable due to railway works and that also I was stuck behind a society playing taking roughly 20-25 minutes a hole had to walk off after the 15 th hole after 4 and a half hours

Turned up and unfortunately the pro shop was locked with no one around for 30 mins before I teed off, and didn't even find any staff at the bar when I went to look. So didn't even get a scorecard.

Also two holes were closed which would have been nice to know before I booked it.

The course was OK... Next time I'd probably spend more money and go elsewhere.

Course looks to have suffered from the hot summer, cracks everywhere in the fairways...

Cheap price, for the price, it was OK.

Whilst I don’t like giving poor reviews, we were disappointed with the experience of playing the course.

Our time was booked for 12.52.

We (4 players) turned up for 12 in good time.

Pro shop said the times were running about 5 minutes behind.

In the end we teeed off at 1.30pm as they were running a members team competition, and their tee times had significantly run over.

The sign at the 1st tee said a 4 ball should take 3.45hrs, we took 5.

Not that we were the problem, we had to wait and wait for the groups ahead, 7 tee shots on 1 hole as an example (3 reloads).

Whilst some members were courteous and willing to help, others were quite bullish and arrogant.

Overall, the course should have been more realistic about the tee times and availability, when clearly there was no space for us.

Really nice visit to Llanwern on Tuesday our 4 ball had a great day

Course was quiet, welcome friendly and helpful. Easy to park, and no challenges to navigate the course. One or two very interesting holes, and the greens were fine despite recent weather conditions.

Overall a nice course with a good variety of holes. The last 3/4 holes can be confusing due to right of way given the way the holes cross each other but once you are aware of that its fine (you can tell newcomers to the course on these holes). Will continue to play down there as often as I can

Course was in excellent condition, not played here for 15-20 years but an absolute pleasure to return, and we will again, thank you Llanwern !

Enjoyed this challenging course, staff were great. A lot of variation in holes that keep you on your toes. Greens were in perfect condition with some interesting pin positions!

Took my son to Llanwern yesterday for his first time as he is just starting out,.I thought the Course was in excellent condition, the greens were in fantastic condition and the overall the while course was well maintained.

A very enjoyable course with lots of challenging holes for all types of golfers. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Sadly we were on mats to tee off but given the rubbish weather we have in the UK that can be excused.

As the title says, excellent as usual!

Course in excellent condition for the time of year. It was busy but still managed a good pace of play, would definitely recommend.

Very good value, course was overbooked with a string of 4-balls holding up play which got particularly bad between 17 and 18 as the fairways overlap.

Some nice holes, and an interesting selection to challenge you fully

Tough conditions on a couple of holes given the tree-lined fairways and baked surface, but a good, challenging course with some interesting holes. Llanwern is a very decent parkland option on any trip into South Wales...
