Llanwern Golf Club

Turned up slightly late due to traffic which wasn't a problem. Gentleman in the pro shop was very friendly and said not to worry and head out when free.

Course was cut beautifully, greens were especially fast (at least I thought 😁) and overall well maintained. Some lovely holes that test your game from the slopes and pin positions. Course was very enjoyable to play.

Only issue was the pace of play. There were a group of 4 lads with 2 buggys that took far to long to complete holes. I can understand as a beginner it does take time but from where I could see there were no interest to play the game and respect others around. There was a lot of messing about which inevitably left me and my playing partner to skip a few holes to get ahead of the group. Still, we enjoyed the rest of the holes. All in all playing 16 of the 18 holes.

This isn't the clubs fault and I will definitely be looking to book at Llanwern again. Cheers.

Thoroughly recommended

Course suffered from last week of sunny weather. Tee boxes eburnated, burnt and some were not flat. Greens were decent enough, fairways were unforgiving and sloped. Overall more pricey £30 than I would be comfortable paying again.

Nice fairways and greens, kept nice and tidy and staff are friendly. Some challenging holes to get the practise in, would definately play it again

Over 3 hours to play 11 holes. Lost the will to live, and called it a day having waited 10 minutes on the 12th tee. We estimated it would have been a 5-6 hour round. No marshalls. Ridiculous. Members behind us walking off too. Shame, greens in fairly good condition. Won't be returning.

Nice a narrow with a few long pars 4. Greens not ideal and very bobbly and full of sand but expected for this time on year.

Nice course to play, not exceptional. Only 12 holes open however due yo wet conditions underfoot.

Played at a good pace, course in excellent condition. Golf shop & members on course very friendly & helpful. Will certainly visit again soon.

A decent course which is well kept.

A bit of a free for all regarding tee times but in general a really nice course.

Course was in good condition and play was great for 8 holes. Then, the heavens opened, after 30 minutes we gave up and left. Due to the Hot Deal no rain check or any option for replay.

The course is amazing, incredibly well kept and challenging.

Not the club’s fault but if it’s your first time getting there, it’s very difficult to access due to the housing development being built nearby which is poorly signed and google maps takes you down a road that has been closed.

When you turn off from the M4/A Road, make sure you go up Cot Hill, don’t go through the estate.

Members at this club must hate eachother, as everyone and their dogs are 'One Ballers!'

Nice flat Parkland course quite forgiving off the tee , very impressed with course condition , greens were big and well kept ,

One downside i thought mats were in use on 10th tee i think

would definitely come back again
