Woodlake Park Golf and Country Club

This course is a hidden gem, incredible scenery alongside a very well designed course that has its fair share of challenges. Only thing missing is a map on the scorecard to show hole layouts

If you ever get a chance to play here just book it you won’t be disappointed ! £25 a round on a Monday with no one in front or behind just a enjoyable round of golf enjoying the views , yes it’s challenging yes it’s hard work to walk the course but you won’t regret any of it . 10/10 from me

First time here , will be coming back to play here everyone was very friendly here and the place is very picturesque and great layout also . Cannot fault this golf course at all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you haven’t played Woodlake Park yet, you need to! It’s a genuine ‘Hidden Gem’ (believe you satnav it is taking to the golf club even if it feels like you’re lost)…

The course has everything, tricky holes, fast greens, great views etc… You can’t just get away with it if you’re a big hitter, and if your scoring clubs aren’t dialled in expect the ball to run off the green and down the hill/s…

Course was in good condition considering the time of year, great surroundings and challenging. Will look forward to playing again in the summer.

Golf Now booking system needs to be improved. The course didn’t receive the booking but honoured the tee time. Also Golf now double booked my tee time.

Played early Feb, winter tee’s throughout but all greens in play and in great condition, surprisingly quick, the course played fantastic for the time of year!

Lots of variation between holes, great views and a great challenge for all levels.

Friendly staff and all amenities in good condition.

Will definitely be back in the summer!

A very challenging and interesting golf course, even only 12 holes opened because of winter rain. I am willing to come back again.

Checked in to play with no bother, the pro shop had a very good stock of attire and equipment. There was a well presented putting green to sharpen your game in front of the club terrace. The putting green was well paced in line with the course greens. The only downside was a lack of practice area particularly for chipping. There was a couple of nets to warm the body up located near the first tee. The course overall was in great condition although due to some heavy downpours over recent days, some tee boxes were a little worn. Some great holes but my favourite had to be 5, a long par 4 uphill requiring an accurate drive to avoid having to lay up on your approach. The green was guarded by 2 bunkers sat at the foot of the bank and a 2 tier green that required hitting the right tier or else! Great value overall

I booked this on a whim on my way down to a meeting in Cardiff. On driving there I was unsure of what it would be like it's well off of the beaten track and seemed to be in the middle of nowhere.

The shop looked well stocked and the price was definitely more than affordable.. The first hole backdrop to the Tee was good enough, then you work your way through the holes and the scenery is immense. Honestly by the 4th hole I was seriously thinking this course was easily worth twice the money.

The layout (in my opinion) is great. I would without doubt plat there again.. the locals and members are VERY LUCKY GOLFERS!

Outstanding course in great condition with stupendous views.

Very lucky with the weather on Sunday evening. However I would reccomend to play here if your in the area.

Picturesque views and greens that will test the best of putters. Tough walk, buggy recommended as fairly hilly. Greens are some of the best we have played on and views over reservoir are outstanding.

Nice picturesque course, with brilliant greens, well looked after, would recommend to any type of golfer handicap.

The course only had 14 open and we didn’t know until we arrived, we could of played somewhere else

I absolutely love this place, it’s one of the best courses around the area if not the best. The views are stunning, the fairways are cut nicely, the greens roll really well. However the bunkers and winter mats are really bad im sorry to say. The bunkers have hardly any sand in them and the winter mats are as solid as a rock and covered in stones ready to scratch your clubs.

If those 2 things were sorted this place would be absolute perfection.

However don’t let that put you off, it’s a great course and certainly a challenging one
