One of the best local 18 hole courses
Friendly staff, well kept course and a great pro shop.
Lovely course
Really friendly staff in the pro shop. Course was in good condition. Would play here again.
I regularly use the course on holiday and always have a good experience apart from my bad golf.
As long as you pick a normally quieter time and day you should have no problem with slow play.
When my home course in Stoke is closed this course rarely closes and its always in good condition
Great course
First time playing Rhos on a first North Wales golf trip with 3 friends. Flatter than we thought it would be but still testing for mid to high handicappers. Couple of interesting par 3s and general condition was excellent. Will definitely go back (less hungover).
Lovely course
I live locally and am a member at the course closest to home. That aside, Rhos is a fabulous course. The fairways were in fantastic condition, you were tested off the fairways but not to the extent it was demoralising (lost ball… multiple bogie shots). The greens were fast and true. I am looking forward to playing again at Rhos in a couple of weeks
Very well maintained course
Brilliant course greens were in great shape, brilliant but scary 18th hole surrounded by water. Will definatley be back.
value for money
Played the Monday first at 3.10pm, and it was horrendously slow and had enough by 12th hole, nill etiquette by two in front in their 30s and 40s, hopefully not members. Yesterday was much better at 1.10pm but 3 old boys in 3buggies appeared from nowhere in front of me and it was like whacky races zooming from fairway to fairway looking for their ball. Thankfully they went off after three 9th. Still I enjoyed my day overall, its a tricky course as there are a lot of ditches which come into play on windy days, so take plenty of spare balls.
Great Condition
The course first of all is by the sea but not links. Feels like lush parkland with excellent greens and surrounds, many demanding precise approaches. There looks to have been a lot of work going on in the ponds with huge piles of earth, some rather pungent, which is unsightly but I’m sure they’ll sort that. Odd to play 7 par 4s before back back par 3s to finish the front 9. There are upturned saucer greens and two in bowls making it very interesting and I was expecting it to be totally flat having read other reviews but it isn’t on the front nine. Overall I really enjoyed it, would recommend and will probably go again at some point although I am a massive fan of links so these courses will always be my preference. The pro was helpful and friendly particularly as we were held up on the A55 and he moved our tee time with no problem plus he had a very well stocked shop with done great kit. Well worth a visit and prepare yourself for a knee knocker on the par 3 18th, which is not long but surrounded by water.
A good challenge
Greens were in excellent condition as was the course overall. Front 9 tough...long par 4s. Back 9 I was able to score well. The last two holes are excellent.
There was a society playing and as a single player I was delayed but for the price I am not complaining.
Nice course
We played as a 3 ball early afternoon and pace of play was good, its a short course around 5400yards but you can still use the driver on most holes, greens are in very good condition and it's a good test of your short game, the 18th par 3 is a great little finishing hole surrounded by a moat.
You could say this course is a hidden gem.
Staff very friendly will visit again.
