Great customer service!
GREAT customer service, every person I dealt with treated you like you were special!! Great course, great time, great customer service!!
Great courses in great shape
Very nice facility with a large driving range and short game area. Challenging layouts with great fairways and thick rough. Greens are still very good but used to be excellent when they controlled the Poa Annua. My only other complaint is the lack of a step cut from the fairway to the rough. Miss the fairway by a foot and you are in 3 inches of thick stuff. Pace can be a little on the slow side.
WORTH THE TRIP
DROVE 63 MILES TO PLAY THE COURSE AND IT WAS WELL WORTH IT. MY ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT WAS WE HAD TO WAIT AN HOUR TO PLAY THE BACK NINE BECAUSE AN OUTING THEY BOOKED
WAS BEING PLAYED. THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT AND DID ALL THEY COULD TO MAKE IT A GREAT ROUND.
Pretty good
Didn't get the courses we signed up for. Greens were spotty but otherwise in great condition
A Day At Centenial
A very interesting 27 hole course. We played the Meadows and the Lakes. Each had their own unique set of challenges. The Meadows had length. The par fours needed two good long shots to reach the greens in regulation. Once on the green putting required the right line and speed. Otherwise you easily could end up with a double or triple bogey. The Lakes as the name suggests had lots of water and elevated greens. If you don't let the water intimated you, it is a fun course to play. However if water intimidates you bring lots of balls. I would play it again at the right price.
Nice features
This is a beautiful course, more difficult for me as I am not a long hitter but my husband loves this course
Centennial in the fall
Hands down quite possibly the best fall deal around! Course was in great shape. (Meadows and Fairways) greens are legit...quick and deceiving. This course makes you use every club in the bag. The layout and holes are full of character and many of them have great views from the tee box.
The deal was 55 for a 10 am Ttime. That included cart and range balls. Along with 3 dedicated practice areas...putting, chipping and bunkers. Everyone is really nice and your missing out if you don't get a round at this course.
The course manages fairway and green very good
Course condition is very good including putting green
Centennial overview
The entire experience from the environment and staff to the conditions of the course, was inspirational. There were no holdups anywhere, the couple my son and I were linked with for the day were pleasant, engaging and courteous. The course is one I hadn't played in 10 years but my return was truly rewarding.
Spectacular Setting
Very challenging course, it's steady uphill/downhill play. Course is in good shape. It makes me feel sad that a lot of Golfers do not respect the hard work of the greenkeepers.I saw hundreds of unrepaired divots on the fairways and ball-marks on the nice greens .
I am a passionate walker. So to me it makes no sense at all that you can either ride a cart or you have to carry your bag. Pull- or push-carts are not allowed.
Than God for GN!
This is a wonderful facility with 3 magnificent 9 hole layouts. I would never be able to play there if it wasn't for golf now. Thank you GN & Centennial for registering this fine golf course.
Outstanding course
The staff at Centennial really, really makes this course a great venue. Although a public facility, the staff makes the golfers feel like members of a private course.
One of the best public period
From beginning to middle and toward the end of season, the conditions at this place is always beautiful. Food is great and staff is friendly. Layout for all 27 holes is beautiful and challenging. With the slope on the greens, putting is some times a tall task.
Consistently Good
Expensive but worth the occasional splurge. Technical course, Larry Nelson design. Traps need maintenance. Play can be slow. More rangers moving things along would be great.
Beautiful Track north of NYC. Pricet but worth it
You get what you pay for at Centennial. 27 holes of undulating fairways and challenging shot elevations. Price is a bit high for most to play frequently but worth playing every now and then. Layout is beautiful and challenging and is one of the prettiest course to play during the fall foliage.
I played this course about 3 times and yes they give you that look when they find you prepay on golfnow or teeoff.
Great course in Putnam County
Troon Management has kept this gem of a course on track. This is the first time I played this course this year and was happy that it still is a "must play" each year for me. Will definitely return especially if I can keep getting Golf Now deals.
Unbeatable
Hands down the best public course and facilities within 60 miles of Manhattan.
First Time Playing
Great challenging layout with excellent course conditions. Accuracy over power prevails here. I would play this course again and recommend to a friend for anyone who cares about course condition as their number one factor in choosing a course.
Not what it used to be
New management has changed the culture/feel at this course. This is to be expected anytime there's new management, but it has become less personable and less friendly. I've been at Centennial at least 40 times this year between practicing and playing and the new manager has yet to acknowledge me or even say hello. The course itself doesn't seem to be in as good condition as previous years - which may be due to this year's weather - but having played this course since its inception it doesn't seem as good as in times past.
Great views
Great course, even better views I highly recommend this place. Staff is top notch.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
My group just played on Sunday and it was fantastic. About my fifth time at Centennial this year and it has been very consistently good. Is your rating of a course based on whether or not the manager says hello? LOL.
