Brilliant condition for the time of year.
Although half of this course was closed the links section which was open was in great condition for the time year. Steve in the shop was particularly friendly and accommodating. We couldn't make the last bookable teetime but was told we could go off when ever we arrived. The whole experience was very pleasant and enjoyable. Only 20 pound and you can go round the open nine holes twice if you wanted.
An enjoyable afternoon
The course was in good condition and had a good blend of parkland and links holes. Constructed on a sand base It will be a good venue year round.
I played here for the first time in an Open comp and was really well looked after by my playing partners, members and all club staff I met; the ladies in the shop and the Club President.
I thoroughly recommend playing here and you'll enjoy both parkland and links golf at a fraction of the price of more expensive courses nearby. I paid £25 which in my view was an absolute bargain.
Nice clubhouse, great views, friendly members, great course in top condition with a real variety of holes. Easy to find and adequate parking too. What's not to like?
Best of both worlds
First time playing Pwllheli and very enjoyable it was too. The weather was kind, so the links part of the course was easier for a high handicapper like myself, whereas I’m sure when the wind is blowing off the coast it’s a different animal all together. Which brings me on to the main point of my review,. How cool is it to have a course, with holes which are both inland and links? The condition of the course was excellent and the greens ran so true. Can’t wait to play there again.
Amazing place
5 of us want to pwllheli for a weekend played 36 holes over 2 days. And the place is absolutely amazing all the staff were friendly and club members made us welcome and included us at the 19th. Definitely recommend it and we will be visiting this place more often. View's amazing from the bar also.
Very Friendly Club With Interesting Layout
Prompt and helpful replies to queries from Bethan with a friendly welcome. The course and greens were in good condition with the green staff out working on details on the the course. Fairways on the links holes were a bit dry but given the recent weather conditions, this was totally understandable.
Friendly bar staff. Only slight downside was the lack of catering as the club was between caterers.
Fantastic course
Wow what a cousre,, if in area again would definitely revisit, a must to play if your travelling around Wales 🚶♀️🚶♀️
Lovely course in great condition
Played this course many times and this is the best condition it's been in for several years. New green keeper is clearly a different class to previous setup. Let down by pro shop being closed when we arrived so just played. Shouldn't be taking bookings for times when no one there to welcome you. Lovely course but make sure you bring everything you need to play including refreshments.
Lovely course with challenges
We enjoyed playing this seaside course.
Some lovely fairways, greens had been treated so needed time to improve for the spring season.
Staff were friendly.
No food available afterwards which we would have liked.
Great value and will definitely return when over in wales.
Pwllehi
A lovely friendly welcome and the course was in amazing condition for February in Wales. A mixture of links and parkland meant the course changed infront of your eyes. The sound of the sea crashing next to you and oystercatchers running on the fairways made it all the more enjoyable.
Lovely course
What a lovely course in beautiful surroundings. Slightly disappointed that we could only play 9 of the 18 holes due to recent wet weather, but that isn't the club's fault. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The course was very well prepared and the greens were good. We would love to return to play the full 18 in the summer. Excellent value for money.
Great for the time of year
Play this course most years and this is the best I have seen it for many especially for the time of year. Only the links open in the winter but well worth the visit. Had a change in greenkeeper a year or so back and now the benefit is beginning to show. Only criticism would be that tee times are not available in the afternoon as other courses on the Lynn are.
Great experience at Pwllheli
I had a great time at Pwllheli. Staff and members were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. Given the time of year the course was in a good condition, particularly the stretch of links holes from 8 to 11, which would have to be up there with the most enjoyable stretch of 4 holes I’ve played anywhere.
Always enjoy the course. Interesting mix of links and parkland. Despite a lot of rain recently the course was in decent condition. And we received a very friendly welcome in the pro shop & clubhouse.
Excellent course
Great, challenging course. Preferred the back 9, as that’s the links side of the course.
In the front 9, the greens weren’t the best, which did affect play as they were especially slow, but the back 9 greens were perfect.
Would play again and highly recommend.
Circa 3hr 30m for a 2ball.
