Nice course, greens need improvement.

The course was interesting - some vertical and blind shots. The fairways and tees were fine. The greens were a bit rough and are still coming around (?) from the spring. No views of the castle, sadly, but worth a go!

Disappointing

Played on Saturday 31st May .

Myself and my partner played in the afternoon, weather was challenging with a strong wind.

We paid £59 each for the green fee which soon became apparent we felt was a bit high.

Course condition was disappointing, greens were poor at best.

Looks like they’ve had trouble with hydraulic fluid leaking on some of the greens.

Thankfully, on the plus side, the pace of play was good, only waiting once (17th) for the green to clear.

Clubhouse and facilities, practice nets, putting green pro shop are all good, staff were friendly as were the members we spoke to.

The course is in a beautiful location with spectacular views.

The recent hot weather had affected some of the tee areas but the fairways and greens were well presented.

Always a pleasure to play this course

Caernarfon nearly

Why the strange title? Well it very nearly got a great review. All that stopped it was we were unlucky to play after the greens had been treated and therefore had a generous sand covering.(granted, something we all have to endure) It would have been nice to have been told this but we weren't, despite asking in the pro shop whether there was anything we should be aware about on the course being visitors. Great views over the the mountains and the Angelsey straights. All in all a very pleasant course which I would definitely play again when next in this part of the country.

Thanks CGC

A decent test of golf

A good test of golf but the time of year we played didn't reflect it truly, a lot of leaves down, this is not to say its poor, I would possibly go back in the summer.

Beautiful parkland course

Super parklands course with great views and excellent condition. Best course on the Llyn Peninsula and definitely the friendliest. The pro took us out to the Tee and pointed out the various facilities which was a welcome start to the round. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

Worth a Visit if in the Area

Very friendly welcome. Course was quiet on a Monday morning so pace of play was great. Walk up a gentle hill to reach the first tee and are greeted by a fabulous view of the mountains, wow, stunning. Course was in very good condition, very lush, with good, true greens. Some excellent holes offering an enjoyable game without beating you up too much. Beautiful views throughout. Would play again if in the area and recommend to a friend. Good value for money on HotDeal at £31 each.

Absolutely stunning location!

Played this course with my wife last Friday, started in rain and wind, and were dressed accordingly, but later the sun shone and the layers were coming off and filling the golf bag!

Scenery is actually quite distracting as it is so magnificent, but as an exciled Welshman, thrilled to be playing on lush green parkland fairways in constant view of the Snowdonia mountain range, and holes 14 and 15 adjacent to the blue waters on the Menai Straights, absolutely idyllic!

Play a little slow as we were following many ladies on an outing from Llandudno Golf Club, and three holes closed due to drainage problems, but 15 holes was quite enough for us and were thoroughly enjoyed. Staff all welcoming and friendly and club house faccilities were well presented and inviting, and a post game drink on the West facing terrace at the rear of the clubhouse (absolute sun-trap) also thoroughly enjoyable.

Overall an enjoyable experience and would recommend to all.

P.S. birdied the 2nd with a long chip straight into the hole and rewarded with applause from playes on the next tee, made my day!
