Superb greens
Under the drought conditions experienced this year having a receptive green was impressive and made for a very enjoyable round.. Really enjoyed the layout aswell. Bunkers were a little inconsistent. Overall under this years harsh conditions the course was in great shape. I will play there again next week.
Felt like home
Lovely course, not particularly long, had amazing greens, quite slopey too add to the test. Loved it. Will be back.

Would recommend St Mellons. The course was in great condition, a really good price and very welcoming staff. I thoroughly enjoyed it - helped by the fact I played well! 😀
Price reflects current condition
Nice layout, fairways holding up pretty well for a British winter, preferred lies needed both fairway/rough. Fairways soft as expected with some slight plugging now and then but generally for the time of year in South Wales could be 20x worse impressed how they’ve held. The greens are in shocking condition, majority being unputtable, now I am no green keeper but they may have some sort or disease, lots of dead patches with no grass. Bunkers were all GUR (no complaints) and winter mats in use for tee boxes, which cannot be helped so not the full experience. Would love to play it again once all the greens are back to their best condition and usual tee boxes are in use as I feel this could be a really tidy track in good nick.
Excellent Course
Course in very good condition for time of year..
A good challenge and very enjoyable to play.
Clubhouse is excellent too.
Wet conditions
Although the weather conditions weren’t ideal and the first time playing this course I found it nicely laid out and enjoyed the course definitely play here again in dryer weather

1st time playing the course today and loved it 10/10 from me, staff in the pro shop was friendly as well.

Played this a few times, the course was in GREAT GREAT condition. Some long testing par4s along with some other difficult holes.
Staff very welcoming and decent club house for a pint after.
Only negative was front9 where a 4 ball of females refused to let anyone through despite 2 group waiting every T box. And they were dreadful.
Nice layout but
A lovely parkland course, plenty to challenge all levels, but let down by slow and uneven greens.
