Great course, great price

The setting is one of its biggest draws. You get sweeping views of the Wicklow Mountains, Roundwood Lakes, and even glimpses of the Irish Sea.

The course doesn’t let you settle into a routine, each hole feels different. There are blind spots, undulating slopes, water hazards (for example, the approach into the 17th) and some par-threes that demand more than just hitting straight off the tee. It rewards thought and strategic play rather than just power.

For what you get, the green fees are great, you get a full 18-hole, well-maintained layout in beautiful countryside. For weekday or weekend play, you’re paying a modest rate compared to many premium courses.

Roundwood Great Course

I really enjoyed my round at Roundwood, really quiet, great weather, course was in really great shape and the greens were a pleasure to play. On several holes there were spectacular panoramic views enhanced by the sunshine.

Highly recommended to play.

The Perfect Afternoon

What a gem this course is. The views are simply stunning. There are very few other golfers during the week so can spend an hour or two without seeing another soul. At the moment, August, the greens and fairways are in really good condition. All for very low prices during the week.

There are no club house amenities which really shouldn't bother anyone considering all of the above as there are great places to get a pint and food afterwards in Roundwood village.

Roundwood GC

I played on Monday June 9 th with my son at 3.10 pm. We more or less had the the course to ourselves . Generally the course is in good condition albeit a few of the tee boxes are uneven and require some attention. The greens were generally good and true and fairways were lush and Green. This course offers excellent value for money and the layout is interesting and a good challenge for any level of golfer. Would definitely play here again and would also recommend this course to anyone .

Great potential!

The location is fantastic, possibly some of the nicest views of any course. Its almost empty so no problems getting around. The greens arent great and probably not the most groomed track but great value and it is a bit of a hidden gem...

Roundwood Golf Club is a hidden Gem. The greens are not Augusta National Quality but what an adventure playing that place is. Every hole is completely different, none even slightly similar. Distraction of the views is for real, I never usually take my phone out on a round but I felt like I was as much out for a scenic walk in the mountains as I did playing some golf.

Got my first ever Eagle, a Birdie, a few pars, a few bogies, a few too many double bogies, no triples, but the views took my breath away (as did the hills). Next time I’ll try play it without that strong breeze.
