Great beginner course close to Dublin

Really good course for beginners. Some challenging holes but overall nice lenght and gradient. Staff are friendly and pace of play was great with never feeling rushed. We arrived early and staff offered to let us start on the back 9 so we weren't waiting around.

We got a golf buggy as some hills are steep and playing with older family members I would advice this. I called and booked this the day before our round with no issue.

Didn't use the facilities but would call out there is no driving range for some longer shot practice (there is a practice area which is a field you can hit your own balls 125 yards but have to collect then and a practice green). There is a cafe but didn't utilise it.

Would highly recommended and will be back.

Fantastic views.

Glorious shades of green and views.

A hilly course. Certainly think of a buggy next time.

Gem of a course

First time playing the course, was in great condition with some of the best views from the Wicklow mountains. Course is a challenging course with some tight holes, hilly so be prepared for a good walk. Greens and fairways in good condition. Course very quiet so no issues with pace of play.

Poor

The course is beautiful, however the greens were dirty and not maintained, there was no staff to check us in. They can take a blower to the greens before start of play. Can be an amazing course if its greens are maintained better.

Some great challenging holes

I play Roundwood approx 6 times a year.

There are many great holes - where you have to plan how to navigate.

I always enjoy

As regards value for money - you will find it hard to beat

Pity about clubhouse - just a shame

Hidden Gem

Roundwood Golf Course is a hidden gem. The layout of the course and holes are in my opionon some of the best I've played. Their challenging and well designed. What makes the course special though are the panoramic views. Each hole has a different view and feel. The fairway lie was a little high but all in all it is a fantastic course that deserves more visits. Will definately go back again

Not value for money

Not a great course. Seems like they just cut down a few trees and mowed the grass to call it a golf course.

Greens shaggy and full of weeds and the place is infested with flies.

Also hard to navigate the course, lacking signs.
