Nice course that won't break the bank
$20 tee time after golf now rebate makes this my favorite course in the area
They still need to work on wash out areas
There are some wash out areas on #16 that need attention. And there are some bare dirt spots to the left of the fairway bunker on #17 that could be easily repaired with the laying of sod. Overall pretty good though.
Little expensive for the conditions
Staff was great and layout of the course was nice. As far as conditions go, fairways were decent but the tee boxes and greens were absolutely horrendous. Tee boxes had very little grass and the greens had way too much of it. Felt like you were putting in the fairway. $43 a person isn’t bad around Ft Walton but it was no where close to a $40 course.
Great course!
Beat value course on the gulf coast. The Pines is in great shape, the grounds crew is on top of their game.
staff was pretty rude and golf shop has very little selection. but great price and decent course conditions. pace of play was wonderful we had nobody behind us and we were in the tail end of a group of 3 as we were a group of 5. overall would recommend for a cheap place to play if on vacation.
It's a golf course, not a golf course and shop. Staff rude? Probably because you were rude I am betting because you didn't make a tee time in advance did you?
At best, this is low level municipal course
My only positive review was steady pace of play, but that was probably due to few playing during the afternoon the day after Memorial Day.
Course was in poor condition. Greens had been aerated in the past few weeks with still a great deal of sand making putting almost impossible. Lots of grounds under repair throughout both 18-hole courses. Most creeks and ponds were muddy with over growth and visually unappealing. Overall upkeep of the course seemed minimal and reminded me more of a low-budget municipal course but at rates double I would have expected for a 3pm midweek summer afternoon tee time. Otherwise, No other real option in Fort Walton to play golf.
great course for biggers
this awesome golf course is full of wide long-drive fairways begners love, the stuff are very nice and friendly, the rate is unbeatable
First off learn to spell! Secondly, beginners is what slows everyone down so stay off the course and play a Par 3 course until you get better.
The Pines needs significant improvement
They recently aerified greens and fairways and that is good. They have made a little effort to fill in wash out areas on 5 and lay some sod but still needs a lot of work. This is especially important as the fairway slopes down and left and the wash out damage is on the left. I would encourage the grounds crew to work on filling in and sodding those wash outs on 5 and also on 16.
Someone GREATLY exaggerating the course conditions for whatever reason but the course is in fair shape. Now if the management would stop letting the walk-in's play that clog the course up, that would be great. Soon people will be over at Shalimar Pointe which should help.
