Oaks at Ft. Walton Beach Golf Club

Nice course for the price. But it is also simple no flares here. Played the Oaks course so no where near anything for amenities!! No cart girl so get a big cup of ice to fill up at the coolers. Not gonna get a sandwich or a beer here unless your willing to drive a country mile to get them!! If you want to hit the range don’t go on Monday before 2 pm it’s maintenance day..

Nice little course. Staff is always awesome and the course was in good shape. Challenging because of in being somewhat narrow. Straight hitters preoare to shoot low. Overall a good track. Only thing I would change is better cut holes on the greens. May be due to other golfer abuse though.

FWB Golf Club Oaks course is a great course to get in. Everyone from staff to players seem to leave their stress at the curb and enjoy the day, that's what it's all about.

Played both courses, it was a great experience.. Will be back to play next year on vacation!

First time out here, first time on bermuda greens in several years. Played Pines course. Playing from the men’s tee (not the back) was pretty much driver-9 iron or less on everything but the par 5s. Not a goat track, not really anything special. Greens were smooth, pretty slow. Played in 3 hrs with an 8AM tee time, could’ve played faster. Around a 10 handicap, shot 79.

Would play again, but wouldn’t seek it out.

Got a hot deal early tee time. Unfortunately, the range is closed on Mondays. Staff was great, as was the pace of play. Nothing special about the layout. Good course to warm up on.

Course & greens were in good condition. It’s tight on several holes & I didn’t golf well on this day but I would think if u played here often, u could score. Negatives, It’s my feeling the course should offer water on ever hole.........I found it on every 2-3 holes & frankly the Summer heat is just too darn hard on out of state players.

We paid $45 each & it’s probably worth it but lots of equally good courses in surrounding areas which might be cheaper.

Course is in great shape. Can’t go wrong if this is what you are looking for. Greens are slow but consistent. Bunkers are towards the thin side but playable. The Pines course is wide open and pretty much straight. There is not a lot of character to this course. 6,800 from the tips and 6,200 from the 1 ups. Easy and boring course. I shot an 80 with a couple of bad holes due to hitting a tree and skulling a wedge over the green.

The Oaks Course is much narrower than the Pines Course. The fairways bend a lot more left and right, so you will need to shape your ball left and right off the tee. The greens and fairways are perfect. No weeds. A very nice course to play.

Seems it could be in better condition and for Gods sake please get rid of those horrible mats on the driving range. They’ve been there for way too long. Not even close to hitting from the ground

Pace of play due to only one course being open and high volume is slow at best.

Played the round with my wife enjoyed the day dispite slow play and mediocre course conditions
