Oaks at Ft. Walton Beach Golf Club

This course has a bargain twilight rate at 4. It was not crowded and we were able to play 14 holes and finish by 6:45. I am sure we could have played 18 holes if we could have stayed longer.

I play this course every Sunday I absolutely love it I didn’t know that they were allowed five sums on a weekend.. I also wish they had marshals on the course to keep the pace of play going. Today was the first time in a while that I didn’t see a beverage cart normally I see him every Sunday on the oaks Course never on the Pines course but that’s OK with me however it was a little hot and humid I wish that the beverage cart would’ve came around

Staff friendly and helpful. Course in great shape. Had a great time.

Course was a basic layout, tree lined on most holes, and several doglegs. Fairways were a little dry and could have used more grass. Greens were in great condition and rolled great, a little slow. Not a lot of staff visible. Did not have a cart person, but had water available. Sand traps played better than a lot of courses. Adequate practice areas. Would definitely play again.

The staff is super friendly. The course is in beautiful shape. The amount of five people groups they let on is tremendous though, not in a good way. The people down here play super slow. No one lets anyone pass. I am a single player. I waited a good five minutes every tee box and another five every hit. The pace of play is so slooooooowwwww. Overall in a slow season of this area (if there is one) this course would be a blast to play.

This was a pretty decent municipal course. Not your typical “golf club” course, so the name is deceptive, but a decent play. The turf isn’t flawless but it was in decent shape,

Excellent price for the money. Course was fairly wide open for those that could not hit the fairway with few holes to get in trouble (water and heavy vegetation). Greens were very slow but fairways were great.

Since Im not supposed to talk about my booking experience, I will. The staff at FWB Golf Course BENT OVER BACKWARD to help me. They are the BEST. Without them, we couldnt have played because Golf Advisor booked 2 tee times for me. They confirmed 2 tee times. They billed me for 2 tee times. But they only sent the course 1 tee time. Ken and the group at FWB Golf Course really hustled to fit us in on a Friday where only 1 course was available for play because of a tournament on the other course. THANK YOU KEN AND MANAGEMENT. Golf Advisor? Not so much

We normally play the pines but wanted to try the harder course. The greens were in good shape but some of the fairways had dirt spots so I found myself moving my ball on grass in the fairway. I like how there is a beverage cart on this course. As stated I normally play the pines course which I never see a beverage cart.

I will play this course again.

It was great course really good value. Great place to play while your on vacation!

1st time I played the course. It was a fun course, fairways were wide and forgiving. Greens were a little on the slow side but all-in-all, was a fun course and would definitely play it again.

I normally play Pines however I wanted to try something different and know about the oaks course being more difficult and pints because it’s more narrow and not as open as Pines. The course was in great shape except for the greens I just don’t like aerated greens

The other thing I liked about playing the oaks courses I saw someone drive around with a beverage cart which I never see on Pines so maybe you’ll need to start adding that to the Pines course as well. I shot a good score for never playing oaks I will play this again I just hope the greens are in better shape.

Played Oaks Course today, has been a long time, and was so pleasantly surprised at the conditions. The course is in good shape, much above most municipals I've played. The layout demanded thought, not just bang away. Somewhat narrow at times from the tee and slight doglegs require you to think. I enjoyed it and look forward to playing it again. The greens were a little slow, but still very playable. The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome. Thanks for a good day.

Great layout, fairly easy course one you find out where the flags are. Nice big greens.. No on-course snacks cart person was available. when we played. Would definitely play it again next time I’m in town. .

A lot of weeds in the fairways, very little grass. A couple of the fairways were perfect and they were putting sand and or fertilizer on the greens while we were playing. And when I was getting the time times on Golf Now I could not use my reward deals.
