Sunday 4some
Me and 3 buddies played Sunday
Weather was great
Course in good shape
Pace of play was not bad until we got to 15. We were playing at a good pace The was a 2some behind us who we’re getting antsy and without asking us skipped the hole we were on and went to the next hole ok np but we got to the next hole and had to wait for them slowing us down
We get to 18 tee off and was about to hit my next shot and the 2some behind us hit into us. The ball rolling under my cart. This is unacceptable and from my perspective the ranger was no where in sight. That’s my only real issue with fwb golf club. The rangers aren’t trained to do the job or they just don’t. All I ever see them doing is filling in divots. See definition of golf course ranger.
I didn’t report any of this but be certain I will when it happens again because it will
Other than that had a great day with friends and that’s what matters
New irons 1st round
Got new TaylorMade irons and after some range work wanted to use them on the course
Big difference from my Wilson irons
Still trying to figure out distances but after a painful front 9 I settled down and started hitting them better
Had a fun round with the wife
The weather is perfect to play now with temps in the 70s. The course is in good shape
Come on out and play fwb golf club
Quick 18 with friend
My friend and I came out to play a quick18 on Monday around 230
Started out great no issues then it happened. A senior 3some , 1 walking. All beginners from what we saw and apparently unfamiliar with course etiquette or the rules
They hit into our fairway a couple times and once near our tee box
We waited for them to hit which took way too long. They had a couple chances to wave us thru but never did. The back 9 was almost unbearable. We finished the front 9 in an hour it took almost 2 hrs to play the back due to the extremely slow play of the 3some There was a Marshall driving around but he never did anything. Might wanna retrain as to what to look for to move things to an acceptable pace Course in good shape definitely worth playing
Not bad
Really wasn't expecting too much. We got a tee time on a Hot Deal for very reasonable. The course was not anything fancy. However, it was in good shape and fun to play. I would go again without hesitation.
Excellent for a city course
Staff was friendly and helpful. Course was in very good condition for a public venue. Pace of play was good. Price was good. Will definitely play again when in the area. Se
Late 4some
Twilight 4some. Got 17 in then it got dark
Course conditions very good
Pace was good. We let a single and 2some play thru
We enjoyed it very much
Municipal pines
I’ve played the Pines course as a Single. Typical municipal course. Not many hazards or traps, wide open fairways - not too difficult. The nearby air force base makes some noise.
Enjoyable Day
The weather was nice; although, it looked like it was going to rain any minute. It was in fairly good shape overall. The fairways were thin in spots and the greens had spots of crab grass, but they putted true most of the time. The course staff was extremely friendly. We travel over an hour to play the course, but I believe we will be back again.
i sucked
topped 9 balls and lost 6, shot a 105, 60 on front ,45 on back, but great day with pop and made me want to play way more than 1 a year.
Sunday twosome
Invited my buddy to golf
Played at 2 course was wide open
Pace of play was great. The course is in excellent condition and we finished 18 in 3 hours. Shot a 93
Had a very enjoyable day
The staff at fwb golf course is friendly and helpful
Probably the best value around
Highly recommend playing here
lovely course.
Played the Oaks Course. Verywell maintained for a municipal course. Really enjoyed it. Good practice facilities as well.
Surprise!
I booked a round at one of the two courses here, only to find when we arrived that the course was closed, so played the remaining course, which we had played previously. Oh well...will try again in the future.
Great time with a great score
This is one of the best public courses I have played. It's very forgiving!
Solo round
Played alone. Pace was perfect
Conditions were great great value
This is my home course and the improvements have made it a great place to play. Kudos to all
Great Staff
The Golf Coarse over all was great ! Staff was very friendly. They have some Poa issues creeping up on the greens but overall it was fine.
Enjoyed the day
Played first nine by myself. Hooked up with a few others was pleasant not stressful. Being a new focused golfer it was good. Enjoyied the good conditions should have played better not the course. Should have scored better couldn’t get it right on approach shots. Will try again nice course for me. Thanks
Great round spoiled by marshal
First I want to preface this review by saying the round we played with our wives the week before this round was also spoiled by the same marshal
He followed us all over the oaks course. We commented that it felt creepy because he was there watching our 4some. He was creeping our wives out
This week my buddy and I played alone the marshal didn’t follow us but we noticed he was following a 4some with 2 females
He also interfered with our round twice
First filling divots in the fairway when we were trying to tee off
The final time was on 18. I was in my backswing in the fairway and the same marshal came up behind us in his cart and kept going distracting me. He has no concept of what he’s supposed to be doing. Hes inconsiderate and if I see him stalking our group again I will confront him and report him to the pro shop. Both rounds were played during twilight. Other than him the round was great
Course is in great condition
Highly recommend playing here
Great course for the money. Well maintained. Several interesting holes on the Oaks Course.
Beautiful Greens
Course is in excellent shape. Greens are very good and a moderate speed. No weeds on the greens. The Oaks course is a bit narrower thus it is wise to hit the fairways, otherwise, your only option is to get it back into the fairway.
Excellent challenging golf!
This course is in far better shape than many of the courses located nearby. Public course that has a well educated staff and very knowledgeable greenskeeper, The greens are in very good shape and the fairways are also nice. Definitely worth the money considering the caliber of courses in the area that charge 2 or 3 times more to play and are not as nice as Fort Walton's municipal courses.
