Unfortunate day
Played the Oaks. Left after 3 hours on hole #12.
Pace of play was a killer.
No food on the refreshment cart despite being told not to come to the clubhouse for food after 9 holes. They charge $10 to fill your cooler with ice.
Nice Course
Very Nice course especially for the money. Great value! Oaks course is very tight so left and right is always trouble. Course is short so that helps. Course in nice condition and greens were in pretty good shape. Of course it will not compare to a $100 green fee course but you are not paying $100.00. I will definitely go back when back in Destin. May try the Pines Course next door which is suppose to be a bit easier.
Old farts best ball
Us over 80 golfers get together once a week and play a best ball game. Mainly just for exercise and conversation. This course is in excellent condition, both greens and fairways. I would highly recommend it.
Play on your own course and stay out of our way!
Great Bang for the Buck
Went to this course thinking it would be an easy day. Far from it! It's a challenging little track. Gotta hit the ball straight and to spots to score. Greens were in good shape. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Gotta go back and redeem myself.
Casual round
Me and a buddy played Wednesday
The course is in very good shape
Tee boxes, fairways and greens all👍🏼👍🏼
Such a beautiful day but we never saw a cart person
Can’t complain about not making money if you don’t have anyone selling out on the course
Pace of play on front nine was slow due to a couple in front of us. Exceptionally slow and didn’t offer to let us play through
Never saw a Marshall either
Great course, great value
Really enjoyed playing here over the years. They keep the court clean and well maintained. The staff is always courteous and friendly
Underrated
First time playing Oaks. Fun layout. Not long. Greens were near flawless. Tee boxes a little chewed up. I’ll give a B+
Nice course great staff
Always enjoy both their courses. Fairly well maintained, super friendly staff and good value. Don't spend hundreds of dollars to play by the beach. Drive a bit from the beaches to find Ft Walton Beach course.
I wouldn't exactly listen to this guy who should be playing his own golf courses there in Destin/SanDestin. Most of the tee time backup of people problems is guys like this who drive out of their way to bother those of us who live or are members of Fort Walton Beach golf course. There is Eglin, Hurlburt Field, Bluewater Bay, and 2 courses in Crestview - go play there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fort Walton beach golf course
I enjoyed the round. Played the oaks course. I felt it was in good shape. The greens were a little slow. Fairways were nice. Not a country club type course but rates were great. Would play again.
Old farts best ball play
We are all over 80 and have lost a lot of distance over the years. A best ball play is what we try to do once a week. We normally score under par from the forward tees. The city courses are in great condition.
Greens & things
Greens were quite rough & not consistent in the slightest. Other than that was ok for the dollars.
Pretty impressive for city course
Peter nice for a city course. Greens needed cutting seemed a little fuzzy. Lots of shoe marks from careless golfers dragging feet.
Avg course in avg condition.
Played the Pines course. They were aerating the Oaks course. This is a standard muni course that will do in a pinch. Couple of memorable holes but otherwise just a flat track in fair condition. Came here because most other courses in Destin Sandestin were aerating. Probably wont return.
Good Round
Great Course
Fairways in good shape
Green were a little slow, but overall a great course.
I will be back on my next trip to Destin!!
The course had recently been punched and the greens sanded making it less than favorable.
If you can afford to stay in Destin, then play in Destin. I hope at least if you are going to get in our way in Fort Walton that you at least went online and made a tee time before you came out here.
