Mannan Castle Golf Club

This was my second time playing here and the one downside is the pace of play can be slow.

They pride themselves on being a friendly club and they certainly are. It's a nice course with a wide variety of holes and lots of challenges.

Great course and I look forward to returning to find some of the many balls I lost.

I had a tee time for 1:10 on Sunday but arrived early and the guy in the pro shop let go out at 12:40. Members are very very friendly and the course is absolutely fantastic. The signature 3rd hole is really delightful. On the 12th tee box don’t be put off by the crows cawing. Worth a trip and you won’t be disappointed. Really enjoyed my round of golf and DEFINITELY will be back again. Looking forward to it already.

Played for the fist time yesterday. We booked and paid through a discount app for a 2 ball. When we arrived we had been booked in with another 2 ball. Asked if we could play with just 2 but he said no even though it was late in the day and no one was playing after us. The two other players felt the same way.

Completely unnecessary.

Played this amazing course yesterday. I have not seen such wonderful greens in a long time. It’s certainly a tricky course and challenging. Some really unexpected picturesque holes and beautiful views of the rolling drumlin hills. Lots of natural underground water, brings that Celtic happy feelings.

The only minus was the club house wasn’t serving food.

Hopefully next time, as we will definitely be returning.

Great course and a good test of golf. Some of the fairways very narrow and have to be accurate off the tee and even with your 2nd shot. Greens are in first class condition, will definitely return here for another round

I was a long distance member here about 3 years ago and it has been looked after really well. The greens are in great shape. It has a new tennis club now, which was at the planning stage when I left and it looks great. If haven't played here yet.....get your butt up or over and give it a try! You will not be disappointed. There are a few tricky holes and driver shouldn't be used on few holes, unless you can pin point your landing to within a few squared feet.

Great value for money. The club prides itself on its friendliness and rightly so: staff & other golfers all happy to chat and help. Looking forward to returning soon.

Not overly long, greens in great condition for the time of year well kept tight course

Played Mannan on the 15/8/23. Lovely course, nice layout with nice few Par 3’s and Par 5’s. Overall good condition. A lot of mowed grass lying about but other than that a lovely course!

I really enjoyed Mannam Castle, great layout with some really interesting holes that made you think, club selection and course management were certainly important. The downside on the day was the course had not been cut in a few days, the fairway grass was long and the light rough longer. This spoiled the round somewhat as there was little reward for keeping on the fairway. It was a busy day with lots of foursomes which slowed things down but that's OK, the number of players looking for balls just of the fairway due to the long grass was not. This would be a great course in its prime.
