This is a great course
Mannan Castle golf course is great. This is our third time playing it, we now make it a yearly outing. We are all from. Belfast and it’s a fantastic course and a great day out. Very friendly staff, a well layed
out course, can be challenging depending on your driving skills.
Nice but could be really nice
Arrived and went into clubhouse, nobody there. Office, locked and place looked deserted. The changing rooms were filled with golf clubs, old shoes etc and very run down. I asked some ladies finishing the 18th where to pay green fees and they told me "across the road in the pro shop". I called into the pro shop and i honestly could not have asked for more, he was so helpful. The pro shot, range was a tidy spot with good bays and well equiped pro-section.
The course was fine but the layout of the 3rd to 4th is a wee bit of a struggle but that's just me. The course is reasonably well maintained but the greens were in some need of some loving. I think it's the golfers as every hole was littered with deep plug holes. My friends and I must have repaired 4,5 each on every hole.
All and all reasonably value and a bit of fun thrown in.

Way better than I expected
This was my second time playing Mannan Castle. On the first occasion it was during winter months and course was a bit swampy and hard to enjoy. This time around the fairways were in perfect condition and greens were in very good condition and very fast. Great value for money and will return before the end of summer.

Normally a great course but greens were racked and 2 greens were closed with flag on the fairway, not be back for another year at least

Normally this course is fantastic, but someone has racked every green, 2 greens were closed and had a flag in the fairway, we should have been told this when booked but wasn't, we travelled 1 hour 2 this course and we will not b back for a year at least.
Challenging
Fantastic condition for early February, played a few course over last 3/4 weeks by far the best condition out of all, very challenging course not much room for error off any tee box, makes u think about your shots a lot more would highly recommend, the chap in pro shop is a gent aswel will be back,

Lovly we course to play , good layout good greens and fairways , drive to it from belfast few times per year well worth the hour or so journey.

Excellent condition, not as easy as people made it out to be some very challenging holes but overall great course, highly recommend but be up for it hidden gem..
Superb, hidden gem!
What a great course!
A tricky but definitely a course you can score well on. The Par 3 third hole, is absolutely stunning and quite rightly the signature hole.
The welcome from the Pro was friendly and as I was playing by myself, he introduced me to the Lady Captain who welcomed me to play with her (such a lovely woman and helped with the local knowledge).
Every hole presents something different, I honestly don't think there is a bad one. It's been 25 years in the making and it's absolutely superb.
If you're in the area definitely check this place out!
