Good greens
Great greens but tee mats are very far forward. Restaurant was closed when we finished. (5pm bank holiday Monday)

Trip to the New Forest
Challenging course . Stick to middle of the fairway and keep away from the rough and the water. Lovely individual holes with hazards on most.. Quite a bit of walking between some holes so have a good breakfast!

Tough Course
Great course with really tough Par 4’s. Two of the Par 3’s are over 200 yards. Great test of golf and greens and fairways were in a great condition

Great challenge
Course layout is a great challenge for any capability of golfer, makes you think your way around with blind tee shots, lots of slopes, up and down, lefts and rights, and gathering bunkers. For our game fairways were firm and fast. Greens seemed to be recovering from previous maintenance and there was no true roll of the ball which was a disappointment for the round. Some hidden hazards from shots that were not pointed out on the course map on scorecard which caused some frustration also. As we played on one of the hottest days of the year, we really could have donenwith water stations to refill our bottles after each 6 holes, something for the club to think about investing in, as paying a premium of €2 per bottle at the comfort station on 10th tee shouldn’t be the only chance to restock.
