East and South courses
We played the East course first, play was on time course was a little tight and challenging , well worth the money. We played the South course two days later and found it easy at first but then the holes with water features came into play. Very interesting and I will definitely play again.
the course is very pretty
36 holes of great golfing....some water...some sand...lot's of wildlife
fairways mostly poor greens slow but puttable
should lower the cost for the course condition..understand rate is higher for winter rates but should offer lower rates year around to locals
grenlefe review
It was windy day the course was challenging but fun to play course pictures of holes would be very helpful. For first time players
green and fringes very good
In the immediate area these were by far the best kept green and fringes in the last few weeks
Greenlefe East
Course was just OK, rough in many spots especially a lot of greens had bad spots. A lot of tight shots, would play it different next time. Played with very nice couple from Canada.
Fairways & greens are in rough shape
Only our 2nd round so course was good for us. If u are looking for superior conditions do not go here. However very playable and we had the course almost to ourselves. Greens were spotted and fairway edges very sparse of greenery. People were friendly and the price was right. If u r looking just to swing a club this is a good place to go.
a very nice complex
overall we found the experience quite satisfying
course maintenance needs some work
Eugene Nelson
Staff was friendly. The course was worth the 40 minutes travel time from kissime, Fla where I was vacationing
Play om 2/27/14
Course and buildings in rough shape. Greens were good but had not been cut or rolled for a couple days. Course is hard to find. Gps in car had us going to the wrong side of the highway
Nice surprise!
Have been meaning to play this course and finally did. The greens were excellent. We played immediately following a scramble so pace of play was our own. Played in just under 3 hours. Know this was unusual but really enjoyed our timing!
Irregardless would definitely recommend this course. Played the East Course.
Good Value
Worth the trip to Haines City. A little out of the way but nice layout. Has dog leg rights and lefts and straight holes. Keep it the fairways because the edges are deep and you won't find your ball. Fairways are wide and in good shape. The greens are excellent.
Great course
Staying in a condo on the course for the first time. Very nice place, golf course were very nice to play on well kept. To bad the whole facility is showing its age must have been a fabulous place back in the day. Staff very friendly. I would definitely come back here.
Pleasant surprise
I had played the South course last year and was not that impressed with conditions...Lucked out and got to play the East course this trip. Course condition was better than I expected. Greens were reasonable. Layout was good--not too tight and not right next to the condos. Not a lot of water to contend with. Very pleasant day. Clubhouse must have been something back in its heyday. I hear the West course will not be reopening.
Quiet Sunday afternoon with great golf
Everything worked...greeted, cart was ready for my friend. I ride my own handicap cart which they accepted without one negative comment...not all coursed like the fact of not paying for the ride or understanding why you use your own. All in all a great day of golf and I had a super score for me!!!
Good value for the money
The course was fine. It was in ok shape for Feb. The greens were very slow and needed cutting. It was our 1st game since driving down from the Canada and was a good warm-up round. The location was a bit out of the way so make sure you use your GPS to find it.
Lots of variety
This was a pleasant Sunday morning experience.
A lot of the groups were twosomes and the pace was good.
Greens and fairways and bunkers are in good shape. Some of the tees did not seem to get much winter overseed.
Off the fairways the ground was often bare or the grass was in poor condition. Many areas were marked as ground under repair. These could have been greatly expanded .
The South Course demonstrates the struggle golf is having to offer a good product to a non-growing base of golfers.
They are doing a good job of keeping on at a resort with a great history.
aburgchief
Greens were a little slow due to being long. fairways in good shape. Over all not bad for the price.
Slowly coming back...
Slowly coming back to a good standard. More work needed but worth a visit. Greens very slow at the moment.not bad for value. Tees and fairways ok.
Improved
Pleasantly surprised. Played Greenlefe in 2012, the course condition has really improved. We will definitely play again.
