Grenelefe getting better
Played both East & South recently and both are much improved from when we had been there last. Greens were very good, fairways had been over seeded and in good shape. The folks in the lounge , pro shop and course attendants have much friendlier attitude and are there to make golf experience pleasant. Played South this particular day and great layout and very enjoyable round. Although the course was busy, we still played in about 4 hours. A little more attention to detail, and it could be as good as when it was in the heyday.
Course very well maintained.
Play time was great. Course in great shape. Nice layout
Nice greens but poor fairways.
Could be a great course, good layout and nice greens but in need of water and maintence. Overall only average and would not play again, there are much nicer courses in the area for a few dollars more.
Great golf course...... A must play!!!1
This was the first time I played this course. I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of this course. Add that to the friendly staff, beautiful environment and challenging course, I have to say " Greenlefe is a winner. I can't wait to get back there to play 36 holes of the both East and South Courses
Greenlefe is in good condition. Enjoyed my round.
For my first time playing Greenlefe it was a very enjoyable. The fairways and greens were in very good condition with "NO" Bermuda grass. The largest negative I found was that the bunkers and greens traps could use a little more attention.
Great condition
Played Grenelefe East course for the first time Dec 1st and was not dissapointed. Greens were a little long for me but none the less immaculate! Local members were very friendly and did let us play through. This course is for golfers who have a focus and passion for the game. I will play again for sure! Older club house and amenities have been upkept. At 20 bucks, this was a steal.
Slightly confused
When we arrived at the course we could tell that they were very busy. The walk to the proshop is a bit of a walk. Once you enter into the building you enter into the bar/restaurant area. There was 3 little steps which there was no sign saying watch your step. Once we go into the proshop the lady behind the counter was not very helpful since we had never played there before. There was a gentleman that was there and he stated that the South Course was closed for the day. He was a little more informative as to where we needed to go. The started which we needed to see was not at the cart staging area to begin with. The pace of play was much slower than we are use to. They really needed a ranger out on the course. They did not have a bev cart person out on the course. There were 2 water containers and 2 additional water fountains that we saw.
Nice course with a mixture of hazards, trees, water, bunkers etc
The Starter was friendly and gave us 20 minutes on the range to warm up. We played the East course, was in very good condition, the greens were a little slow but ran very true.
Interesting Course
We played the East course which we found was well laid out.
Positional play on some of the holes was important, which we will try to remember the next time we play. Others are still challenging. We enjoyed.
Members seem to get in the way.
Played both the South and the East courses. We liked the layouts of both, but it would be nice to choose your course, rather than be told which one to play. Especially since the members were using the one and we were relegated to the recently overseeded one, which was NOT ready for play. Greens had not even been cut yet. More like putting on fairway. We had some issues with members also running up behind us (4 players each on their own carts) and a 4some not even asking if our twosome wanted to play through, slowing our round down considerably. No marshall in sight. There are some very challenging holes on the South and small greens on the East, so lots of fun and challenge. Would go back again, especially for the price! Starter was excellent!
needed sun but that was all as rest was great
golfed the east course, best fariways and green conditions that we have had in Nov. will spread the word.
Nice course but nasty members
Played the East Course which is exactly as advertised, tight with overhanging trees and very small greens. Greens where exceptionaly slow on the day we played. Unfortunately the four members that were in front of from the first hole never asked if we wanted to play through (our twosome). We had to wait on each tee as well as for them to vacate the greens.
The greens are very good, a little slow
I like this course East, the fairways are OK, some of them could be a little better.
Nice layout, easy to navigate.
Course was easy to follow which sped up pace of play. Greens could have been faster for my taste.
excellant greens and fairways
I enjoyed the challenged this course has. Good water holes and sandtraps. The fairways are in excellent condition.
Friendly course to play.
This is a great value. Not excessive water holes but lots of areas where finding your ball was difficult. East course is a little more scenic and I found it more enjoyable to play. Although it is not always available to play. Restrooms are clean. They need to put more water jugs on the South course.
Everything looked tired
The course was looking over played and in need of some TLC.
Fairways and tees lacked grass. We played the south Course.
