Cart path only
Cart path only, but that was just timing on our part.
Beautiful views I love that course.
Preserve in the Rain
I had an enjoyable afternoon, walked quite a bit, cart path only, enjoyed the course even with the rain on the last three holes. Beautiful conditions!
Excellent value
Wonderful course, well maintained and a great deal through GN
Awesome Course
We play here every year in October. Love this course!
Can't play fast enough
It was cart paths only the day we played. It was quite a hike from cart to ball and not knowing the (1st time ) club selection was difficult. Just the same my wife and I played the front 9 in one hour fifty and we were being pushed the whole time. As a result of being pushed so hard we quit after 9 holes. I do not recommend this course to players with handi caps above 15.
cart path only
loved the course...nothing bad to say. I'm 6 weeks out from knee replacement and my friend has COPD...we could not finish because of the steep grades we had to walk to. we will try it again when we don't have the cart restrictions
golf greens are slowi
Golf greens are slow because of overseed. Otherwise the golf course was in great shape.
Hidden Gem
Course was in extremely great conditions. Value is exceptional. Beautiful views and great pace of play.
great views
Views were far better than I expected. Had been wanting to play this course for a year, and it was well worth it. Not overly difficult, but overall really good shape. Greens putted very true. Stay in the fairways, rough off the course very dense. Lot of very interesting elevation changes. Course facilities well taken care of.
never dissapoints
By far the best course in the area. Always in great shape..Always challenging.
Quiet, beautiful, and challenging
This course was a real treat to play. The scenery is beautiful, the fairways are long and just the right width, and bunkers and natural hazards were placed in a manner which didn't make the round too frustrating. The greens were healthy but a bit shaggy, they need a good cut, and the bunker sand was hard, compacted, and wet; they could use a good fluffing and fill-up. Other than that the course was a real pleasure to play. Tee markers are set far enough apart to provide a challenge to all skill levels. The staff was friendly and attentive.
Nice Course to Play
This is very nice course to play. Great views and challenges all around. Worth the drive.
Views and challenges
The course is difficult and offers unique challenges. Very nice to play. The view are amazing and so engaging it is sometimes difficult to concentrate on the golf!
A beautiful surrounding!
Although we had some rain while playing, we enjoyed very much, especially the beautiful surrounding. Overall, the course was in a good condition.
Enjoyable
Excellent course layout and grass condition. Bunkers were in fair condition and greens were extremely slow.
Slower speed in summer is understandable but this was below acceptable.
Fun course, becoming a favorite
Course offers great views, nice layout, some challenging holes, and good pace of play.
Greens are inconsistent but should improve once healed from punching.
Wish they would offer pin placement and hole reviews.
Well worth the drive
This is, by far, one of our favorite courses to play when in Saddlebrooke. The course is challenging, but not overly so. Course management is the key when playing The Preserve. Its helpful to spend a couple dollars and purchase the yardage book as many holes play like target golf.
Greens are slow
Not sure why, but it appears that the greens had not been cut for a few days. I have played this course many times and never had this experience. They were very slow and hard to understand why. All of us on my group had problems with the slowness of the greens. We all 3 putted the same green, don't think I have ever been in a group when that has happened.
Not good
Greens were terrible. I have played there several times this summer and the greens are getting worse each time. Where the fringe was suppose to be was dirt. Sand traps were like hitting off cement
Beautiful Course but ...
The Preserve is one of the most beautiful courses in the Tucson area but they have recently punched the greens for summer, thus they are pretty poor, bumpy and sandy and slower than a shag carpet. Fairways in great shape, the bunkers have little to no sand. I really like playing here but right now this is not here you want to play if you are looking for tournament-level conditions.
