Moose Ridge Golf Course

About
Moose Ridge Golf Club sprawls across rolling hills blanketed with mature trees and accented with colorful wildflowers. There are more than 90 feet of elevation changes throughout the course, but there are more challenges than the hilly terrain. Well defined bunkers lurk along the greens and acres of wetlands come into play. It's easy to get distracted on this visually stunning golf course, but it's a test that requires all of your attention. The first hole is challenging but gentler than the next three holes, which is one of the toughest sequences in the area. The second and thrid are long uphill par 4s and the fourth is a narrow par 5 with a marsh-protected green. Moose Ridge Golf Club's back nine opens more gently but the respite doesn't last for long. The 15th is one of the most challenging holes, starting with a tee shot over water and followed by an approach to a narrow green.

great teack, but very penal
Great layout, but keep it on the course or thestrokes will add up and you will lose plenty of golf balls. I love the variety of holes. Condims are usually very good.
Great course layout and condition was great too.
Could use more drinking water on the course and more than one toilet.
Slow play!
We had to quit after nine holes pace of play was terrible. If we would've stayed it would've taken over three hours to play the back nine brutal will never play there again !
The pace of play was slow. Not happy it took more than 4.5 hrs for twosome
Great Course But...
Moose Ridge is a great course with some terrific holes. It is usually in great shape. The greens are fun to putt. So why the but in my title? Moose Ridge is a frustrating course because more than half the golf course is cart path only every day. You expect the par 3s to be cart path only but several other holes are cart path only as well. Some holes have cart restrictions in certain areas and others seem to keep you far away from greens. GPS on the carts is helpful but for short hitters and women this course can be frustrating. They have to take several clubs with them because they cannot be sure how far they will have to the green after the initial shot. You will enjoy the course but be prepared to walk more than normal.
Not an easy course!
There are no easy holes at Moose Ridge, but all are fun to take on. I did lose 2 balls per side :-D
The carts feature GPS, which is extremely helpful as there are many blind and semi-blind shots, depending on where you are positioned for second and third shots.
The greens were in great shape, after accounting for unrepaired ball marks created by golfers lacking basic courtesy. This is a common problem across publicly accessible course and is no worse at Moose Ridge. The speed of the greens and their undulations made proximity to the hole paramount.
Moose Ridge features impressive elevation changes that challenge your club selection. The scorecard provides playing tips for each hole, which does help.
All in all, a great day of golf!
Overbooked
This course has always been a local favorite. Lots of beautiful different type of challenges await your golf swing here folks. A few short par 4s and some extra long par 5s makes for just about every club to come out of the bag. Biggest issue is the carts path only slows ever thing down. If their busy plan on a 5 to 5 and half hour round.
Very Nice course
the layout was good and challenging. The no cart rule on many holes make the pace of play slow and a little exhausting for older players. The greens were soft and a little slow. Stray balls from unknown players was an issues too many times.
Got behind a very slow group
Carts shut down easily when you go off the path or too close to the greens. Got put behind an extremely slow group. Many holes are cart path only.
Return to Moose Ridge
It has been about ten years since playing this course. Everything was perfect, weather, fairways, greens, bunkers, etc. Really enjoyed playing this course. GPS on the carts were a bonus, however, cart did keep you quite a ways from greens, tee boxes which often delayed quick get away from hole.
Fantastic Course
By far my favorite course in the area. Always a great value for the money and the staff was fantastic. Course is very challenging so I definitely recommend playing from the appropriate tees for your handicap. Can't wait to play there again soon.
Beautiful property but no so much
Course property is very nice but course is extremely short. Also hadn't rained in weeks and it was 90 degree or cart path only and carts shut off if you deviate. If you want to at the view it is very nice but price for course don't overspend with so many other courses in the area. To top it off the course posts their regular walk up rates on GolfNow. With fees you pay more than at the course itself.
Quality course and great conditions I play it whenever in the area
