Brookside Golf Club - C.W. Koiner Course

i booked course #1 but they made us play course #2. which is in a very bad condition.

Love the course. Been here a bunch of times but the amount of times I hit a great shot and landed on a dirt patch is kinda crazy. Sprinklers turned on at 2 pm all over the course. On 18 I hit a killer drive down center fairway and ended up one foot from a huge sprinkler and a puddle. Great course the rest of the time

Total money grab . I grab first tee time un knowing they send groups on what is called the back 12 . Never even heard of that . No way should groups who get up early trying to get out before the log jams of groups should be waiting for people playing back 9s or 12s in this case . What should have been a round under 3 hours turned into 4-1/2 cause of the BS this course pulls . Never again .

Course was in decent shape. Greens were good however I had to repair ball divots on greens. I guess there are a lot of inconsiderate players.

The only cool people there was Dan in the pro shop the other older gentleman seemed like he had somewhere better to be same attitude every time, the guy assigning carts, the grounds keepers, the foursome getting ready to tee off behind me. The three guys I was suppose to play with lied about their tee time cause they brought their friend last min which is no problem to me just be honest about it and at least have the courtesy to let me go first since I’m now a single golfer rather than holding me up behind them, they proceed to tee off taking 15+ mins to finish the first hole looking like chickens with their heads cut off running around the first green after the first guy made his putt he ran to go tee off hole two with each following to do the same thing after sinking their putts. Finally after asking a couple times to go ahead and a few holes of playing up on them they decided to let me through but got stuck behind another foursome but they were at least hustling on each hole playing with a purpose so it wasn’t bad. Then the amount of times people just cut across the fairway in their carts to find and hit their ball without looking to checking if it’s clear or playing multiple balls holding up other people behind them, I saw one guy hit atleast 6 different balls out of the sand for “practice” on one of the holes next to me and he had a foursome behind him. It seems like they all owned the course and did as they pleased. I always hear about how “great” course 1 is but the few times I played it, it was trash. Course 2 even though it does have some patchy grass and brown spots here and there is better pace of play each time I play and everyone I come across on that side is courteous. I never take the time to leave a bad review but this was crazy to me. If you took the time to read this play course 2 if you still decide to play there but you’re better off playing elsewhere in my opinion and thanks for reading, have some great games of golf!

4 stars all around very good rating slightly above average course

We were the second group to tee off that morning (6:00 am) in an attempt to beat the heat, but once we got to the 8th. hole, the course put out two walkers in front of us. This slowed the pace down quite a bit. I don’t understand this program the course has because it defeats the purpose for golfers who want to start early.

I liked the course but what I didn’t like was the two trash bags of trash in the middle of the fairway. And they were ripped open and the contents spread all over the fairway. No cart girl till hole 11. The snack bar wasn’t open when we crossed the street. It wasn’t until going back across the street did we realize the snack bar was now open. But the trash on the fairway was the biggest problem.

No scorecard 7/3/24 my tee time was at 6:10am I guess they ran out scorecard the day before. Not acceptable brookside order your supplies ahead of time

The old guy who checked us in was very rude. No customers service skills. I figure he a volunteer. If not he’s overpaid.
