Great to work on Driver
6 out of the 9 holes have driver shots which is great practice. Overall course is great! No complaints.
Great course!
Played a round here today and honestly, it was a great overall experience. The course has a really nice, park-like feel with tons of mature trees, and once you’re out there, it feels like you’re miles away from the city. Super peaceful and easy to just focus on your game.
One of the standout things about this course is how driver-friendly it is—you can pull out the big stick on about 6 of the 9 holes. If you’re working on your driver or just enjoy letting it rip, this is definitely the place to do it. They also mix it up nicely with three par 3s, so it doesn’t feel repetitive.
Some areas of the fairways are a little rough around the edges, but nothing that takes away from the round. The greens, on the other hand, were in really good shape—rolled true and consistent.
The staff was great—friendly and helpful—and the overall vibe of the place matched that. Pace of play was solid, and the other golfers out there were easygoing and respectful, which always makes a difference.
On top of that, the pricing felt very fair for what you get. All in all, a really enjoyable round, and definitely a course I’d come back to—especially if I’m looking to work on my driver.
Fun Course
Fun course, pace of place is much better than Munis in the City of LA. Will definitely be back.
Time to service or update the carts. This happened both times I was out there. They run out of juice and people wait for new ones to come in. Staff are great. Otherwise a really fun course. :)
Better options
Grounds are filled with rocks and gopher holes. Paths are brutally rough and bumpy and the rough areas are short but with holes and debris everywhere. Beer cans prevalent on each hole and pace of play is slow.
If it was cheaper it would be easy as a sub20$ but more than that is too much
Great and diverse 9 holes
What I love about this course is that it allows me to practice every shot and use every club in my bag. It may only be 9 holes but there's many times I can't get out of 18 holes and spend 5-6 hours at the course. I can get in 9 holes in less than 2 hours and practice course management. It would be nice to see improved golf cart paths (like 90 degree play during specific times of the year) so the fairways could bebetter seeded and some of the gopher holes could be dealt with especially on the 4th hole. I wish the cafeteria was open too so I could grab a bite to eat before or after a round.
Pace of Play/Carts
Our tee time was 9:20 AM.
By the way, you cannot book a cart online via Golf Now. Once we arrived (30 Minutes early) at check-in, we were told that if we wanted a cart we were going to have to wait 20 additional minutes. So 20 minutes AFTER our scheduled Tee Time.
We decided to walk which wasn't terrible but as the morning went on it started getting hotter. On the 9th tee we were entertaining the idea of playing a second nine, so I decided to call the pro shop to see if there were any carts, guess what? There weren't and if we decided to wait it for a cart we would have to wait 45 minutes.
I get this is a Municipal Course and they don't have the funding (blah, blah, blah...) from the city to staff a Marshall, but that was ridiculous. The only redeeming quality about this course is the fact that it's less expensive, but as they say... "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR".
an exercise in patience
we were a 3some. all bogey golfers. The group in front of us, 3 younger people, 1 bag of clubs, playing multiple balls per person, clearly not golfers. Playing loud music, cheering as if they were at a dodger game. The course was busy and the 3some in front of us made it agonizingly slow. There is no marshall to report to so what is a golfer to do? I really wish there was someone on the course, like most other courses that monitors rate of play and to enforce rules and courtesy.
Good value. Fun time
Decent course. Decent conditions. Bang for your buck!
Good Times
