Altadena Course Review
The course is in better shape than in year's past. It's slow play on a Friday afternoon, but that's to be expected.
Last minute 9
Altadena is a fun and convenient way to play. The course conditions are bad - not much actual grass. We know this about Altadena and still find ways to enjoy.
Course is a little rough
Beautiful scenery, but for us, the course wasn’t great.
We booked the early morning tee time the night before, so the plus is it’s available. Pace was great because we got out early, definitely was more crowded when we left. Not a particularly challenging course, you won’t lose any balls. With some rain, maybe the conditions improve.
Staff is awesome.
All in all, not a bad day, just wish the course conditions weren’t so rough.
The course was great for holiday golfing.
Had a late afternoon tee time was able to walk on no waiting, had a great time golfing, first time in a long time, coming back for more.

the young Lady at the Pro shop is always courteous and checks me in with a smile.
she is bright and knowledgeable. the course
is in very good condition, bunkers are raked and hardly any brown spots or muddy areas.
we are lucky to have Altadena to practice our long game as well as short game and the ease of reserving a tee time makes all the difference in my selection.
Great course to get your feet wet
I’ve just started playing and have mainly played 9 hole 3 pars. This is a great course to step up your game and really see what you can do on a course with the full arsenal of clubs. The pace of play can get bogged down after the 3 pars. Multiple times waiting about 15 minutes to tee off after finishing the previous hole. The course is well maintained and I didn’t come across many rough patches along the course. a couple of tee boxes were a little rough and “well-loved”
The driving range was my biggest gripe. It was saturated with water and playing the irons was a muddy mess even when hit well, although as I stated early I’m a beginner and a lot of shots took a little more grass than I would have liked.
Overall this is a great course to improve your golf skills, I would recommend it to other newer golfers.
