Eagle Eye Golf Club
About
Located near Michigan’s capital city of Lansing and minutes from Michigan State University’s campus, Eagle Eye Golf Club is one of the state’s top-ranked public courses. The 18-hole championship course opened in 2003 and was designed by Chris Lutzke, a protégé of legendary architect Pete Dye. Lutzke’s design features some Dye staples like railroad ties, severe mounding and pot bunkers. But the most recognizable homage to Dye is the TPC Sawgrass-inspired island-green 17th hole. The 9th and 18th holes are both dramatic par 5s that hug each side of a large pond from tee to green. Eagle Eye has a 65,000-square-foot clubhouse that, in addition to a pro shop and grill with outdoor seating overlooking the course, can host a variety of large groups, outings and weddings. Over the years, Eagle Eye has regularly made the Golfers’ Choice Michigan an Top 50 United States lists on GolfPass.

Beautiful and Fun
This course is all that the hype says it is. It is most definitely one of the best courses in Michigan. A must play for anyone who likes excellent golf courses.
Top 10 course in Michigan
Very nice, well-conditioned and set up course. Greens were a little torn up, but otherwise rolled true.
Great challenge
Eagle Eye holds up to its reputation as one of the best courses in Michigan and the Nation. Quality shots are rewarded. Don't be afraid to tee it forward and par is a great score at the island 17th green. Take time to really look at the beautiful surroundings.
Great challenging layout
Pin placements were extremely difficult - bordering on unreasonable. That being said - I'll be back!
Great price from Golfnow for a superb course!
Staff was friendly from the moment we pulled in until we left 4 1/2 hours later. Course was in excellent condition. Beautiful and challenging. Moved well. Rangers stopped by often to make sure everything was going well. Cart girl made regular visits. Will be back!
Exellent layout and tee box choices to fit any style of play.
Excellent layout and conditions. Always requires where you want to be on your next shot. Par 3's are intimidating with a wind. Rangers keep things moving and don't get in the way - helpful information. We booked online and found a reduced rate tee time - excellent value. Why go up north when this place exists? Save the gas money and buy two rounds here!
Course is a challenge. You can feel the Pete Dye influence.
Course was in good condition for early may. Rough was very thick. Make sure you follow your ball or you can loose it 5 yard off the fairway. Definite play in Lansing or Michigan golf trip
Every hole is a different challenge!!
The price is a bit steep in the summer, but I am willing to drive the hour from the Detroit area to play it about a half dozen times a year. Just need to find deals on line to keep the price down. My favorite course in Michigan!
Eagle Eye golf course is very good
Eagle Eye golf course is very good.
Course is challenge and fairway grass is good and green condition is good.
Challenging and nice view.
The course I ever played around Lansing. Nice course, kind staff. Must-play course.
Challenging and , beutiful
Played it the 3rd of Dec 2012. Many of the holes look intimidating with water hazards running the length of the hole, but the fairways are wide enough so you can stay clear of the hazards. Holes are beautifully cut out on this gently rolling landscape. There is a lot of sand so brush up on you fairway and green side bunker shots. Oh yea, their signature hole #17 par 3 is an Island green that looks like the island green at the TPC at Sawgrass. In the summer it's a bit pricey, but if you can afford it, do it. Otherwise, you can waited until off season and got it at $30 rate as I did.
AMAZING
Legit course! I've been to many of the top ten courses in Michigan and Eagle Eye is in a category of its own.
see below.
Great course unbelieveable golfnow price. 21 bucks!!!
Green is fast with the best condition
The staff is super friendly.
The course is very beutiful.
Wide fairways for drives, long Par 3s, with lots of water to avoid.
A Michigan must play. The 17th hole that is a duplicate of TPC Sawgrass 17 is a highlight.
Eagle Eye - one of my favorites
I have been fortunate to play golf courses all over the US and even a handful overseas and Eagle Eye ranks as one of my top 5 favorite courses to play. I have played there about 7 or 8 times now and can't wait to get back out there when I travel to Michigan. The condition of the course is always, immaculate and each hole provides something unique. The finishing layout for each of the nine holes (#9 and #18) share a common body of water and are just amazing. Hole # 17 is a short par 3 - island hole, reminiscent of the famous TPC Sawgrass. You can't miss with this one!
Nice views, love the island green!
Guys trip to Michigan! After a 3.5 hour drive from Chicago, we got to Eagle Eye! WOW! Nice club house, friendly staff, complimentary driving range, nice links style course. Greens were great, course was well maintained.
