Located less than an hour from Tampa and Orlando, LakeSide Golf & Country Club in Inverness has a unique and scenic setting with four holes that play around an abandoned phosphate mine. The challenging layout will test you with long par 5s and a slew of doglegs. Unlike some of the flatter, marshier golf courses you'll find throughout Florida, this layout has rolling, wide open fairways and large, undulating greens. Be prepared for more than 50 strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greens in addition to well placed smatterings of tall oaks and pines. The rough can also be very punishing if you're errant. There are some challenging holes but it's not overly daunting; beginners and casual golfers will still enjoy the golf course. There is also a driving range available at LakeSide Golf & Country Club.

Favorite course
I just started golfing a month ago and have probably golfed at 5-6 courses, lakeside being my favorite by far over any of the courses, i have played on some beautiful courses that cost a fortune to play on but nothing touches lakesides environment
It's a little ruff in places and we just move the ball...it's a forgiving wide open place with great online deals so stay away we don't want the secret out... .
Fairway
The fairways are horrendous! They are so bumpy that it was killing my back. Other then that it was fine
terrible conditions !!!!!
poor fairways , no definition between rough and fairways, poor greens, definitely not play there again!!!!
TLC needed
Great layout! Par fives on the front are 3 shot holes. Back nine fives aren't pushing 600 yards! The tee boxes are really bad on about 6 holes, not so great on 6 holes and perfect on the rest. Fairways are pretty good but need to be better defined. All in all happy to have played there for around $20.
