One the best in the area
One of the best as far as conditioning in the area, greens are awesome. Nice layout, a good challenge for golfers at all levels. They have the best GPS system on the carts than anything of the other premium courses in the area.
Best Track Around
This is easily the nicest and best conditioned golf course and facility I've played since moving to the Baltimore/DC area six months ago. The course is in pro condition with enough trouble to get in to but only if you hit a bad shot. Greens are perfect, large and undulated. Fairways are wide and well bunkered. A true Arthur Hills track from the get-go. The GPS on the cart allows quick decision making and lets you plan your strategy on every hole. The staff are friendly and eager to please and the practice facilities are first class. You even get free range balls! The only slightly negative aspect is the location. Took me an hour and a half to get there from Odenton, but well worth the trip. Make this place a must play on your list!
Great course
Wish there were more trees down the fairways . Not much trouble as far as trees go
Great Price, Great Conditions, fun day.
When I look at GolfNow reviews my first question is what style of course is it? So I will start there.
Heritage Shores is a links style course with very few trees. There is water on every hole but usually it does not come into play unless you totally shank a shot.
The course is in fantastic shape. There are 5 sets of tees so there is distance for everybody. The greens were challenging but not impossible. Overall the course is not long and there are many short par 4's that require target golf to score well. The day we played it was very windy (20mph-25mph) so we had to play much more conservative shots. The course features lots of bunkers, some blind shots to the green, wide fairways, multi elevation greens and water.
The Golf carts feature GPS which was very helpful for first time visitors. It provided distances to all hazards and to the pins not just the center of the green.
The course is about 1 hour from the Delaware beaches, which is good and bad. It is good because the prices are reasonable. If Heritage Shores was closer to the beach a round would cost well over $100. The bad part is we played on a Saturday and after the round we got stuck in beach traffic which doubled the travel time.
I will definitely play here again, but I will probably try to play on my when in or out of town.
Great Course - Construction Still Going On and Will Be For Some Time
Great course. Bent grass greens are in amazing shape.....really fun 18 holes. Lots of water, with a few challenging carries. Facilities are brand new.....carts are in great shape (GPS is really nice).
Would play again in a heartbeat.
Excellent experience
Had a great time. Three hour and half round. Excellent staff, conditions, pace of play and food. Couldn't be happier.
Great new course
Course is in fantastic shape, staff is friendly and helpful, wasn't crowded, really nice clubhouse/food, the houses are set back from the course and don't feel crowded in, carts are really nice with GPS, club/ball washer, etc.
Great course for any golfer
Lots of water but very manageable course if you hit it straight. Not too long from the white tees so very scoreable. Nice course very friendly staff highly recommend. I had a blast with the threesome I was paired up with, great group of guys!
Outstanding
Played after 1 " of rain. Course still in great condition. Other than cart path only, nothing negative to report. Lots of surrounding construction happening to make this a even better experience. New pro shop, restaurant, 360 bar etc
Awesome golf day
Love this course. Built in GPS in carts so you know your yardage. Well maintained .Plenty of water in play to give you a challenge (Take an extra sleeve of balls).
Great time
Course is in great shape. Hooked up with three others from Golfnow and had a great time. I will be back. Did not get any food so can not comment on that
Dry
Played this course about a month ago and it was perfect. Yesterday we played and the fairways were really dry and the golf balls were bouncing a lot. Beautiful golf course just don't want it to get like Jonathan's Landings (concrete course).
Great course, but course needs management
Hertiage Shore is currently undergoing a remodel and I expect it to look amazing, but there was a lot of construction mess that took away from the experience and they still charged $45. The course itself was in great shape, but this was the slowest round I have ever played in my 20 years of playing golf. The course was heavily congested and several walkers made the pace even slower. Walkers should be prohibited on the busy weekends!!! The carts were equipped with GPS that kept us posted on our pace of play. After the third hole, we were already 12 minutes behind schedule and by the ninth we were close to thirty minutes behind schedule. I understand that when it gets busy that there will be slower play, but this was ridiculous. The entire time, I expected to see a marshal dispatched to pick up the pace of play, but nobody ever came. The drink cart only came around once as well, which was disappointing with the long wait times. We finally had to quit after nine since the front nine took over three hours to complete. The staff was friendly and issued a rain check, but did not seem concerned with fixing the problem at hand. I assume that after the remodel is complete that the rates will increase as to compete with elite courses like Baywood Greens. I used to love this course, but I would stay away until they can better handle extremely slow pace of play. I predict the rates will soon take a huge jump so beware.
Great Round
Course was in PGA Tour quality condition. Really good layout that can challenge any level of golfer. Great value course.
There is a lot of construction going on at the complex but it is having no impact on the course.
Constructio
The construction that was going on caused some problems. We did get our cart stuck in the mud because a construction truck was blocking the cart path.
Always a pleasure
I always enjoy playing this course. Considerable construction going on around the facility but golf course is pretty much unaffected. Greens had been recently aerated but we're very playable. As always, it was pretty windy throughout the round. Played 18 holes in just under 3 hours.
Heritage shores
This course will challenge all skill levels pick the correct tee box for your handicap, great layout , greens rolled super, very friendly staff we played at 9am. , staff recommended a little diner called jimmys for lunch , which was very good ,we went back to course to play another 18, With great results for at least my buddy he shot 73! Go play this course if you have a chance!
Meet with frustration
Heritage is a fun course to play. It has a resort/CC feel to it. The staff in the pro shop has always looked and acted annoyed, which makes you feel like an outsider if not a member.
