Toughest Track Around
My favorite aspect of this course is how every hole seems isolated from the rest of the golf course. With a good pace of play, you'll hardly ever notice that other golfers are out there. I love feeling like I have the golf course to myself, and it just seems that way every time I play here.
This is an extremely demanding layout that probably requires some local knowledge, so don't expect great scores on your first loop. The only par 3 that doesn't play from an elevated tee is 220-230 to a giant green surrounded by a mote of sand. 15 is a no option par 5. If you don't go for it, then you're laying up to the bottom of a ravine with a playable target zone that isn't much bigger than the green.
Overall, this place has some great holes with great looks. If they had some serious capital to invest in condition and design improvements, it could be an incredible place to play golf.
Great Course
Love this course, it's not overcrowded which allows you to play at the pace you desire.
The rise of Cedar Trace
The layout of the course has always been good, it just needed some TLC . It appears it is starting to get it. The greens were excellent, and the fairways much improved. The cart paths are still a challenge, but for the value I can live with it for now. Over all a very enjoyable experience!
Good course
The holes were fine, just a bit confusing going from one to the next. The course overall is a really good value for your money.
Very challenging holes especially on back 9
We played in December and were amazed at the condition of the course. Much work had been done in the last month with cart paths repaired and many updates to the course. Look forward to Spring!
Course in good shape.
Greens very well maintained. Great staff. Course in good shape for this time of year. (November)
Greens are looking good!
course is fun and challenging.A few blind tee shots that will keep you on your toes,Greens have a lot of break and when they are fast is a real treat to putt on.No sand in the bunkers but noticed a mountain of sand in the parking lot which should not be long before the course will be in tip top shape.
nice layout
one of are top courses to play. the new owners are making the golf course one of the best around for the money.
Nice rolling fairways
Perfect weather and conditions. A great time was had by all in my group. ( and you can't beat the free Dog and Drink at the turn)
You won' get bored
The course is a little rough this time of year, but the greens are good. The layout gives you something on every hole. Better hit it where you should or the numbers will run up fast.
A very enjoyable day of golf.
The course is improving everyday. The staff members are excellent.
The course is improving everyday. I currently have it at maintained but the new management is working to make the course close to pristine. It is a great value. The concessions and course are affordable and the terrain is challenging enough for beginners and experienced golfers.
Fun course
I run into Clermont Northern Eastern golf team on the course and I have ro say what a good group of kids. I was playing by myself and the team let me play through on every hole they were on...
The greens are some of the largest in the city and are well kept. I think this course is getting better and will continue to improve with the staff there...
Good value even if you pay the full price!
overpriced at regular $28 rate.
Course condition was okay, not great. Sand traps were good. Greens were very slow and tee boxes were hairy. Would not recommend, especially at regular price.
A good course for the money
The course was in great shape considering the amount of rain it had a day before I played.
I am anxious to play again since I know where not to hit certain shots. I loved the first par 5 on the back side.
Grounds keeper needed at Cedar Trace
Overall I enjoyed playing this course. Never having played there the crisscrossing cart paths and tee boxes was a little confusing, but people were very friendly and helpful in getting me around the course.
Weeds in the fairway and some seriously chewed up tee boxes is my only complaint about this course.
There was a sign that said under new management so hopefully the new owners will address this.
back nine has some good features
only played back nine, they were aerating front nine the day we played, was not told until we arrived
slow play
There should be some guidelines on not allowing golfer to start on the back nine ahead of golfers coming off the front nine.
This course has many distinctive holes that are very challenging.
I rate the course very good. The holes are very distinctive. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating.
This is a great course for the buck!
First and foremost the staff is extremely friendly and is always ready to help in any way possible. The fees are very reasonable and the course although not perfect, is great for any golfer who wants to hone his/her game or to have a pleasant experience for the day. Book a tee time at Cedar Trace and find out for yourself, it's worth it!
