Disappointed
Played on a Saturday.
Course layout was almost all straight on the front nine and only 2-3 holes on the back nine that had a little difficulty. Minimal water and traps, lots of trees.
The staff was completely uninviting and the lack of overall amenities was just sad. No starter, no ranger, no cart crews, no water fountains or tanks, no food (other than a candy bar), and the cart was in rough shape.
The course itself wasn’t in bad shape but for the price payed there was more to be desired.
Good course for the money!
Greens in great shape. Pace of play very good. Tee boxes not to good. Overall, good experience for the money.
Nice course.
Very windy today, so couldn't enjoy the course as much as would have liked. Greens were in great shape
Pretty
Very pretty course lovely assortment of trees even if they did get in the way was my first visit here but not the last just loved it excellent condition for time of year and a nice smooth putting surface credit to everyone at this course
Course maintenance ok.
Old school course that, while groundskeeping was adequate and greens were in good shape, I felt had no charms. I played nine holes as a single, at my normal pace - a quick, adult pace - and at the turn sat about 15 minutes and watched a foursome on four (4) individual carts who’d been started on #10 aimlessly wander about on the hole, like I was watching an Easter egg hunt, not four golfers. Talked to staff who told me “they’re members, they’re not going to let a single play through.”
My option was waiting to go around the front nine again, and the course wasn’t interesting enough to make it worthwhile; it’s flat, it’s got little challenge...no memorable or difficult holes, nothing other than competent groundskeeping to recommend it. I personally found the whole experience substandard, and I’d driven about an hour to try the course based on reviews here. Maybe others are ok with this kind of “members run the place” mentality, but hey, my money is green, too...I found that response truly insulting.
Nice to see it back!
Played the course at its best and at its worst. Glad to see it getting back to being in great shape. Greens are a joy right now - lots of hard work paying off. Drive the ball straight and avoid the trees it a relatively easy enjoyable day of golf. But this course can bite you hard if you aren't careful! A no-brainer if the price is right.
Great day of golf!
Easy check in. Had cart all set and ready for us. We were the last tee time of the day, so no one behind us, twosome in front of us, so pace was great! Nice mix of holes..trees and water come into play on a few holes. Stopped for a drink in the clubhouse and members and staff were all quite friendly. They recommended the Cove for happy hour/dinner on our way back to Leesburg. Great place! Enjoyed our day. We will be back.
Thanksgiving morning 2019
Proshop staff is very friendly, the course is in great shape.Plenty of room to drive your golf ball..Greens are almost perfect !
Beautiful day
A great day for golf, fairways and greens in great shape and the weather was perfect.
Good recovery
A couple of weeks ago I stopt playing after 9 holes because the greens were not fair playable as they sanded them without any maintenance after that. Knowing the course from the past I gave them a new change. The greens were in perfect condition this time. The course is not spectaculair but playable for all levels. The rough is nasty because of lack of maintenance and often bold and sandy. For the special price from GolfNow it is value for money, but it is not a 30 $ course.
No greens but sand fields
The greens where sanded without any form of maintenaince so in fact onplayabel. Ik quit after 9 holes, bacause i was driving with another man. Otherwise I would-be have stopped earlyer.
Great course
The course was in great condition and the staff was very good. we only played 7 holes and got rained out... Golf.now didn't make a rain check available since we bought a hot deal..... Sucks since we drove 1.5 hours to get there. No fault to the course...
