Legendary Run Golf Club
About
Golf architect Arthur Hills designed the Legendary Run, an affordable facility that offers country club-caliber golf in spic-and-span surroundings and with what management calls "the friendliest service in the world." Scottish links golf courses inspired the front nine of the golf course, which sits on 200 acres of land and features six lakes, and holes are named accordingly: Troon, St. Andrews and Turnberry, for some examples. It's a different story on the back nine, which weaves through woods and was influenced by holes closer to home, such as those found at Augusta, Winged Foot and Shinnecock.
Book two weeks in advance to ensure you get on for a round on the Legendary Run golf course, and leave your metal spikes at home - there's no reason to worry, as, conditions permitting, you can take your golf cart off the path if necessary. A far cry from Cincinnati's recreational golf courses, this one requires a collared shirt (mock, if you must) and non-denim pants (shorts work, too). The pro shop will dress you if need be.
A bonus for eco-thinking golfers: The Legendary Run counts itself among the members of the Audubon Sanctuary Program and enforces respect of the natural habitat.

Great Course
Well worth it. Booked for $29 on Golf Now and played quickly on a Sunday afternoon
Great Course - Great Staff
Wanted to get in 9 holes and some practice. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very friendly young man in the pro shop who said no one was in front of me so I could head right out even though I was early. When I checked in with the ranger he told me there were several slow groups on the front 9. He went and did a quick check and recommended I play the back 9. A great suggestion as I would not have had time to finish on the front.
The course was in great condition. You really need to strategize your shots on several holes and the recommendations on their website videos were very helpful. This is one of the nicest public courses in Cincinnati and I plan to be back.
One you need to play.
First time at Legendary Run. I was really pleased with this course. Everything was in good condition. Every hole provided a different challenge. Got a great deal on GolfNow.
Great course !
The course was in perfect shape. The greens were excellent. The pace of play was a little slow but not bad. Can't wait to play again.!!!!
greens and fairways were great
greens and fairways were great.Pro shop staff was excellent to accommodate some late minute tee times.
Course in great shape
Great conditions. Highly recommend playing here. Nice weather was a bonus.
Fun and Interesting
I had never played here bofore but had heard good things about it. Each hole is unique and interesting to play. The course is in very good condition. Greens are nice and quick and pretty consistent hole-to-hole. You'll enjoy playing there.
Legendary
This is definitely one of the top courses to play in greater Cincinnati. Achallenging well maintained course, friendly and courteous staff and best of all maybe the coldest draft beer around for after your round. Highly recommended
Perfect fairways
Course was is awesome shape. Hit some of my best iron shots of the year off of the perfectly cut fairways. Good mixture of challenge & strategy on this course where if you play the right shot off the tee, you'll have <120 into the green. I waited too long to play this course for the 1st time. Be back again soon!!
Great Course...
Great course and awesome staff....Very friendly....
Great Day of Golf
Played with a team of three guys and all of us love it!!
Fairways and greens well kept!
Front 9 and back 9 are different but make for a beautiful and challenging course. Fairways and greens on all 18 are well kept!
Premier Golfing on the East Side
I had heard great things about this course, so I made the mistake of setting my expectations very high.
But they lived up to every one. A unique setup that gives the golfer a dynamic round filled with great views of the hills of Cincinnati and the play like some of the top courses in the world. They label and summarize every hole, which is a nice little anecdote, but the best part was they condition.
Fairways hit great, rough wasn't too challenging, traps played like they should, not debilitating but tough. There are houses along the course, but rarely in play which is refreshing knowing if you miss the shot you want, the risk is not as high.
Great staff and practice facilities, genuinely a great way to spend the morning.
Beautiful Course
Greens were fast and true, the fairways were in great shape. Don't miss the fairways if you want to score well.
Best public course in the city
There really isn't a better quality course for the value in the city. I've been playing here for years and the course is impeccable from tee to green, especially the past couple years. Definitely play here if you have the chance.
ok
I liked the course. The round was very slow. Rough was 4-5 inches long which made it play a little slower. Tees on par 3's were beat up a lot for so early in the year. Noticed the guy mowing rough was trying to qualify for the 500. You are not getting a good cut going that fast. Traps were ok.
Outstanding course
Course & greens were in great shape despite rain during week. Foursome played in about 4 hours, though pace was helped by weather keeping crowd to minimum. Staff and clubhouse were excellent. Never had a bad experience here.
In solid shape, even for a rainy morning
Was the first group off the tee and me and my partner played in about 3.5 hours. The start was delayed because of the weather and the course was very wet. The greens were still smooth, despite being slow from the rain. I would certainly recommend this course in the shape that it is in right now. The front nine is always fun to play.
greens
They just recently aerated all the greens, it was very inconsistand and impossible to get a read, everything was a 2 putt from 8 foot out. I won't play there again until the greens are in better shape. I wouldn't have played their if I would have known about the greens.
