About
Golf architect Arthur Hills designed the Legendary Run, an affordable facility that offers country club-caliber golf in spic-and-span surroundings and with what management calls "the friendliest service in the world." Scottish links golf courses inspired the front nine of the golf course, which sits on 200 acres of land and features six lakes, and holes are named accordingly: Troon, St. Andrews and Turnberry, for some examples. It's a different story on the back nine, which weaves through woods and was influenced by holes closer to home, such as those found at Augusta, Winged Foot and Shinnecock.
Book two weeks in advance to ensure you get on for a round on the Legendary Run golf course, and leave your metal spikes at home - there's no reason to worry, as, conditions permitting, you can take your golf cart off the path if necessary. A far cry from Cincinnati's recreational golf courses, this one requires a collared shirt (mock, if you must) and non-denim pants (shorts work, too). The pro shop will dress you if need be.
A bonus for eco-thinking golfers: The Legendary Run counts itself among the members of the Audubon Sanctuary Program and enforces respect of the natural habitat.

Bounced back from rough winter
Great conditions returned to Legendary Run after a rough winter. Once again pace was good and staff very friendly. Even on a Sunday morning, the starter was willing to let our twosome go off 5 minutes early since the earlier group had not reported and the twosome we were paired with had not showed up yet. Their staff is always great.
Great course for the money
The only complaint I had was a walking threesome on the front 9 was obnoxiously slow. Any employee could have made a quick lap and noticed the 1.5 hole gap in front of these guys.
Except for that, this course is fantastic. The front 9 are closer to link-style holes, while the back 9 are wooded and breathtaking. For the price you can often find on golf now, it's a steal. Great condition and great staff.
Golf Around the World
With this course being modeled after holes from prestigious courses all around the world it gives you multiple different types of courses all in one. Challenging but forgiving making you play smart but allowing you to let it loose as well.
We love this course
Unfortunately we followed some really slow gofers which made the round drag. I don't think the courses now days can afford to have someone maintain the speed of play.
Great experience on the golf course.
This course is wonderful. Two different types of courses between the front and back. Challenges your entire game with lies, width of fairway and green speed.

Legendary Run is an excellent layout that is well maintained with a friendly staff. I highly recommend playing this course if you haven't!

good course, good value
Great value at $21 per player. course was in good shape and was challenging enough for a bogey golfer like me, but not frustrating. pace of play was a bit slow, especially given that it was a rainy, cold weekday.
Soooo, slow
Worst pace of play. I can not recommend this course to anyone.
I've played this course several time and it is always the same. SLOW..... Over 6 hours for 18 holes is unacceptable.
NOT IMPRESSED
I've been wanting to play this course all year, but it always seems to expensive. 9-25-13 myself, and a few friends pulled the trigger and booked a tee time. I was not impressed is an under statement. the front side was fun but not in good shape. The back side was terrible. It reminding me of a cheap course stuff on the side of hill because its the only place they could fit another nine holes. For 45$ i'd rather find a hot deal and play something twice. Save your money play something else.
Cart path only!
Love this course. Had not played it in a couple of years, and it was well maintained as always. Had some pretty heavy rain this morning so it was cart path only. At 61 with bad knees it was no treat(certainly not the golf courses fault). And once the superintendent thought it was ok they came around on a cart and let us know that 90degrees was ok. This is always a good golf experience, plus who else has a 19th hole for settling bets!
Great layout
One of the best layouts public or private. You'll play every club in your bag. Course was in good shape, fairways nice and firm, greens really firm. Play to the front of the green. Greens a little on the slow side, but fair.
With 5 tee boxes, this course is great for every level golfer

Great Experience!
Played the course after about a straight week of rain. Still in great shape and the greens were fantastic and not nearly as slow as expected. Played front 9 in about 2 hours but the back 9 slowed right after the 10th. A foursome that refused to let anyone play through or speed up even though the ranger tried repeatedly to speed the group up. Ended up playing the back in just under 4 hours for an almost 6 hour round. Ranger was very nice and apologetic and gave us free drink tickets even though we didn't complain. Great customer service.
A little reminder to the groups out there that don't care about a quick efficient round, "WHILE WE'RE YOUNG!" If you don't want to play a round in under 5 hours PLEASE respect those of us who do.

Great customer experience, other golfers were only problem.
Course and staff were great! The only complaint I have is we played the front nine in 2hrs. 45min and didn't see a ranger at all on the course. The group in front of us was SLOW with no one in front of them. I called the pro shop at the turn and still no ranger so we just passed them on the 11th hole.
Outside of that it was a great experience just wish the rangers were out more for the weekend.
We will be back!!

Very nice course
Course was in very good shape, there were a few spots in the fairways & tee boxes that had some clover growing or taller blades of grass, but overall was extremely well kept. The greens were some of the best I've played on in the area.
It took a little longer than I would have liked to play the round with a group of 3 (just over 5 hours) but it was booked solid out there and is to be expected on a nice Sunday afternoon.
I would definitely go back.

Great Course
Played for the first time, this is a real golf course , challenging yet fair, I will most certainly play here again
